My Sky Sagem router is located downstairs in the lounge (front of the house) near to the telephone socket. Sky replace the router so now have spare Sagem router - what can I do with it

Hi, now have a spare Sagem router from sky sitting around doing nothing. I was thinking could I wipe it and set it back to sagem settings (i.e. no sky stuff) and use it to extend my wireless network? Thanks Damien
