I have no idea what this hipster photography lark is all about. To me, it sounds like... teenagers enjoying photography? Am i rite? Because that has always been around, its just now accessible to everyone in the western world.

i like taking photos of my friends and i on film. that is all i like to attain from my passion, to keep some memories to look back on when i'm old as hell. the worst part about this is that people scrutinize me about whether what i am doing is art.

You're getting better. These are a hundred times nicer than the last batch and it looks like you're getting the hang of lighting. That being said, move around more! Don't shoot four tricks from one angle. Get a shot you like on one trick and move around. The back tail is pretty solid, but it's a little too tight. The rest just feel like inferior attempts at that shot

Good luck with this dude, and I'm not trying to discourage you, but I just thought it was funny how last night at midnight I thought damn, I would've killed myself if I had stuck with that, it was quite a long year.
When I was doing it though, I had a lot of fun times, I wouldn't mind doing it for 3 months or so, it was good up until early April for me. But yeah, I'm pumped to shoot a lot...

Are you talking about wireless triggers for your flash? or just a flash?
Vivitar 285hv's run pretty cheap, you can get them off ebay for around $90 and they're pretty good in my opinion, I have one and I love it.
There are also Vivtar 283's you can find them on ebay pretty cheap as well, anywhere from $30(used)-$90(new)
As for wireless triggers, There are Cactus' triggers that go for ...
