I used OpenX Market until my visitors complained that there were malware and viruses. Disabled OpenX Market, and it worked fine. You can see all the posts from users of OpenX market complaining of this at their forums - http://forum.openx.org/ . They have the same problems as RMX does. No different. Stay way if you value your users until they fix this issue.

Yes it is, but you have to take it as a real business. Putting hours to work on it and exploring and studying on how you can improve your site. Creativity, patience and the willingness to learn are the keys to help you earn more in this industry. Best of Luck!

@Jack32 - No, people are talking about blocking almost all types of ads. AdBlock Plus will let users do this pretty easily. As I think has been agreed above, adblockers are perfectly legal just becoming a bit of a headache for web publishers (and including a link to your T&Cs is pretty much pointless, with even a tick box "I have read these T&Cs" before accessing the site debatable as to its legal standing as...

I think one of the most important aspects to being successful with affiliate programs is to really try and vary what you do each day. Writing blog posts for 7 or 8 hours a day, for instance, can soon become pretty boring. You might look to break your day down a bit and split your time between the various tasks (content, link building, ppc, forum posts, blogs etc)

It's possible. But it doesn't happen for everyone. The fact is, with websites, they either catch on, or they don't. Some, can also be made to work with sustained work and innovation but since you're entering now and there already is a website about almost anything, you need to be pretty innovative and think outside the box.
Do people want what you have to offer on your website ?
If the ...

Hi, I never used Squidoo but a lot of my users are writers coming from this site.
They seem to say that at first they thought they were going to make a lot of money, but they need many views on their lenses in order to get clicks on their adsense, because the adsense CTR on lenses is very low.
It's about and less than 1% !
But from 50 lenses, they start to see regular income, little but ...

Branding is a form of advertising.
Advertising is a pretty general term that covers pretty much any kind of promotion for goods/services.
Branding is a specific type of advertising where the advertiser is not trying to get a user to come to their site or phone a number or perform any specific action related to the ad. Instead they are just trying to get their business name (or brand name) ...

Well, they paid me NET60 this time cause my payment for August 2009 just
came in during the first week of November. Quite lame honestly. They just
kept apologising for the delay and well... =/ It's still better that
they're up-front about the payment terms honestly..
