And now, Al Gore's Poetry...
Published (2009-12-13 22:34:00)
My problem with the poem is that it sounds too much like propaganda to be taken seriously on literary merits. It seems like Gore is "too close" to his subject. Other real poets can be close to their topics, but since Gore is not really a poet, it's hard to believe him. If it were anyone else, I'd say, okay, sounds all right, I suppose, but this is our resident climate cheerleader we're talking about. I was a...

Do You Remember 1987......

It was 1987! At a lecture the other day they were playing an old news video of Lt.Col. Oliver North testifying at the Iran-Contra hearings during the Reagan Administration. There was Ollie in front of God and country getting the third degree, but what he said was stunning! He was being drilled by a senator, 'Did you not recently spend close to $60,000 for a home security system?' Ollie replied, 'Yes, I did, Sir.' The...

Here's the take from Newsmax (or should I say News-Max?): http://www.newsmax.com/insidecover/u...mo_code=92E1-1 Some say this furor could be short-lived in Montana, and that's the state he needs to worry about when it comes to reelection.

Holy crap!!!
Not only was Osama bin Laden a threat over twenty years ago, but that Al Gore was questioning North's need for a security system!!
OMG!!!
Oh boy, and people thought the only scandal going on with Gore was his wife's attempts to officially censor rock and roll back then.
I can't believe I voted for this "man" back in 2000. Sometimes I think it was the ...

I grew up in NJ, but never jumped on the Springsteen bandwagon. He was really starting to get big when I was in college, but I like singers who can sing and guitar players who can play the guitar.... which is why I've never liked Springsteen.
This also confirms that I'm on the right side of the gay marriage issue hee hee
