http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/articl...DDE61AMFQT.DTL Conan O'Brien is currently in a lose-lose situation, as Tim Goodman points out, and his best option right now might be to leave the network and start his third act. "Starting over, and later, at another network one that wants and respects him might not be such a bad thing," says Goodman. "Fox? ABC? Who knows. Something has to give at NBC. It might...

Snoop Dogg wants to step into Oprah Winfreys shoes. The 'Signs rapper claims he is the ideal candidate to take over from the legendary talk show host when she stops making her self-titled programme in 2010. He said: 'Im trying to proposition the networks right now. If youre wanting a nice, black, exciting young male who wants to turn the TV world right up get at me. Do you feel like you're settled in on The Tonight Show now? Do you feel like you've broken in the show and feel comfortable? Somewhat. Not really. It does take a while. It feels comfortable, but I do have to remind myself that it's only been since June. It is fairly new. But it's also, it's so strange, and there's such upheaval, especially with the network being sold or not sold or who knows. It's a little...

It's official: After 25 years, "The Oprah Winfrey Show" will end its run on Sept. 9, 2011. Winfrey broke the news to staffers at her Chicago-based Harpo production company on Thursday. She'll officially announce her exit on Friday. Whether or not that means Winfrey will launch a new talker on her burgeoning cable partnership with Discovery, OWN, remains to be announced--but Winfrey is expected to have a major...

...as I saw the "CBS NEWS SUNDAY MORNING" profile of " The Second City" yesterday, with Nancy Giles (a former participant, now contributing "op-ed" essays and other features to "SUNDAY MORNING") as correspondent. There could have been a BIT more background {who only show the "SCTV NETWORK 90" title? There were at least four of them}, but it was a good introduction....

That is very sad - I used to love this show when I was a kid. I knew LeVar Burton much better from this than TNG.

He needs to rest........ This guy jumps around too much. Remember when he
went through heart surgery? He went back to work and he still was not well
nor ready to begin working again. He pushes himself too hard. If I were him
I would bask in the sun.

When I saw this I was looking up the original cast and I didn't hear that he had died.
Richard Genelle died from a heart attack in 2008 at 47. He was known among Ranger fans as "Ernie" the juice bar guy.
Anyway, I'm glad to see the original Rangers back. I wish this would come to DVD; only the original series.

Ironically, NBC wanted to avoid losing Conan by giving him the Tonight Show. How about that?
