Is the b70 right for me?

The only ones that I have noted to produce a strong cup at over 8 ounces have been Van Houtte Eclipse and Gloria Jean's Black Gold. That Clever Coffee Dripper from Sweet Maria's is fantastic, by the way. _________________ Scott Grindmaster OPOD Cuisinart SS-1 Keurig B60 Quickmill Vetrano- A Beast! Invention: "The Podster"

Can't think of one. How about a filtercone? http://www.sweetmarias.com/prod.single_cup.php With a filter there wouldn't be much mess. p.s. Maybe I'm just used to a smaller cup now, but why do you want 10 oz.? More caffeine? _________________ Grindmaster OPOD Senseo 7810 (recalled) Keurig B40 Josh's Pod Guide Josh's K-cup Line-up

Keurig B70 Tank Issues...
Published (2009-11-13 19:55:00)
Well, sometimes it's empty when i wake up in the morning, so that's 1 refill right away. Also not all the water goes to coffee. I like to run 8oz through it without a K-Cup sometimes just to clean it, especially if i've brewed any sort of flavored K-Cup. Otherwise the smell will linger inside the K-Cup canister. The Fiance drinks an occasional cup or two as well. _________________ Current Gizmos: Keurig B70 Nespresso CitiZ...

I turn it off after the breakfast period is done and turn it on during the day if I want some coffee or tea. I would leave it on all the time but until I redo our kitchen the coffee machines are on the same circuit as the microwave and only one high draw appliance can be turned on at a time.

The main reason I do not keep mine on all day is to reduce electric power usage. But I nave been thinking that once the internal boiler is brought up to temp it probably draws very little to maintain the temp. I thought I read somewhere it's about the same as a 60 watt light bulb. Probably the only time it draws the 1500 watts is when first turned on and after it refills following a cup of coffer/tea. By my turning it off between...

Thanks, all. I think you are right that I should try the repair route first. I've been very happy with the OPOD until now. I hate to let it go if it can be repaired.

I think I want a Keurig

I ended up taking the variety pack back to Bed Bath & Beyond and they exchanged it without hesitation. That was only my second visit to that store (the first was to get my brewer) and those folks are super nice. A clerk noticed we were standing at the customer service counter and approached us, told us to go get what we wanted to exchange and he would take care of it. That small act saved us a lot of waiting time. God Bless him! The...

Single serve pods or K-cups are designed around a 6-7 ounce drop. That said, pods and K-cups will generally give you coffee that ounce for ounce blows Charbucks away. _________________ Aslan is not a Tame Lion

I think that you will find that the Platinum and the B70 are the same maching with both terms being names for the same. If I am wrong, one of the other members will correct me quite shortly. Go for it and enjoy your maching.

This information came at a fortuitous time. My Platinum has begun to slow down after only 4 months of usage. I descaled it and cleaned the cup holder, but it is still not pressurizing the cups like it used to do. I'm going to call Keurig.

My 2nd gen Opod has stopped pulsing and the coffee is much weaker now. I've tried resetting and decalcifying it. No luck. Need advice on a new coffee pod brewer for Christmas. Bunn My Cafe - I've seen the $129 refurb at Baronet. Also seen lots of bad reviews. Should I take a chance on it? Cafe Invento - haven't found too many reviews on this one. Looks decent, but probably...
