what's the longest deal you can sign a player to? 7 years? sign him to a huge 7 year deal that's heavily back-loaded, so for the next few years we are actually getting him for less than he's worth, then either renegotiate or trade him before the 6th year. by that time he'll be 32 and on the decline anyways

The reverse was a horrible call. Let PR throw the ball when the game is on the line....actually, that whole series of 3 straight runs with no pass AT ALL when we were losing...those were all bad.
However, I will say that I thought there were some excellent calls made, including the pass to Sproles on the winning drive.

To be honest, I don't think we run it enough. I get frustrated when the game is close or we are winning and we waste crucial drives trying to bomb it downfield and end up punting because of 3 incomplete passes in a row when we should try to control the clock and wear down the front 7.

I think it depends on how old you are...
I was very little during the Fouts' years even though I have seen some youtube videos of the QB playing.
I do pick Phillip but with bias because he is the Charger QB who is good after the Brees years.

The last play...was perfect Xs and Os from Norv.
A brilliant play to have Gates and Jackson go direct to the end endzone, splitting the lone safety to cover Gates and leaving Jackson one on one with the CB.
Brilliant, winning play. Kudos to Norv, Rivers, Gates, Jackson, and the whole Oline.

That is going to be a GREAT game. I would give it to Pittsburgh if it weren't in Denver.
I belive one of the Steelers' safeties can't play at high altitude so not sure how much of a factor that is (not Troy).
If they lose to Pitt our next game against them in Denver is going to be HUGE.
