On Aug 5 Ray Randall went to the happy hunting ground. Ray was well known in the west. He was for a time the chief high mucky muck at Pachmyers. A stalwart devote of the 20 bore and amungst the most "quail shootinist gentamens" I ever saw. He was my mentor and guide from the time I was 17. For those of you that never got to meet him. Life cheated ya.

In Utah, the public accessible Lone Peak Wilderness is an area that allows rabbit hunting. You can do cottontail hunting and snowshoe hare hunting there. Dogs are also allowed, so I bring my beagle when hunting. - Ceicei

Just saw it on the NBC local news. They have video of 2 punks who smashed the window of her truck and took her Olympic shotgun. We gotta find these punks. Her medals are safe, they were in her purse. $5K reward Perazzi customized MX-12 shotgun with stickers from her competitions on it she said. http://www.knbc.com/news/17455049/detail.html?dl=h eadlineclick _________________...

If I have my unloaded shotgun in the trunk of my car where should I keep my ammo? Anywhere but the trunk of my car, right? If I understand the law it the two cannot be in the same locked container (i.e. the trunk of an automobile). If someone can help me out I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

I did a bit of scouting around El Centro Niland and yuma and dove numbers are really high. There should be atleast one more hatch before opener. p.s. keep your fingers crossed for no thunderstorms for the next two months.

I have two llewellin setters, 7 and 8 months and I want to send them to training. I would like to take them to prado because its somewhat close to my house and I can go take lessons with them and watch their progress. My parents sent their dog there 13 years ago and she came back flawless and still is. Has anyone here used the prado trainers and what was your experience.

I talked to John Hybarger today who is the Chairperson for L.A. County Fish & Game Commission about the L.A. County Shooting Area Map. He said to get the ball rolling for a new shooting area map we need to get folks to write a letter to the commission asking for the shooting area map to be redrawn and printed like San Bernardino County just did with their shooting area map. If you would ...

Well the Delano Dinner is coming up in less than 3 weeks on Friday, August 15th. It will be held at the Delano Elks Lodge on Cecil Avenue just east of freeway 99. It is a really good event with around 125 people compared to Bakersfield's 350 people. The food is very good also! There are lots of firearms and other great merchandise. We have Games, Bucket Raffles, a Silent Auction and a Live ...
