I can't find any mention of backboring on Remington's site, so I don't know if it is backbored or not, but suspect it is not. I can almost guarantee no factory
12 gauge is going to be backbored all the way to 10 gauge specs. A standard 12 bore is .729", and a 10 gauge is .775". That's way too much for any wad skirt to seal. Most backbores run .740" to .745".

I never could shoot an 870. Don't know why. It doesn't make sense to me. I shoot an 11-87 regularly and well. 1100, no problem. 11, same. Savage 311
sxs, oh yeah. 870, nothing doing. That's why I don't own one.

Very unusual in my experience. Did you clean it completely? I never used to do much more than swish a rag at a new Remington, but I have seen some lately that look like they must have gotten a real deal on some surplus
Cosmoline. I saw an action spring on a Sporting 20 that looked like a brown rod. The 1100 target guns have larger gas ports and no compensation to try to insure high ...

You put the term
elbow grease in a whole new light ! Bend it back and order another one. If it breaks off you're no worse off. $13.50.

The barrel seal activator basically cuts off the flow of gasses to the
relief valve so you can shoot light loads and have the gun function. If you shoot heavy loads with it in it will cause the action to take more of a beating. I haven't seen the two sizes variation you are talking about.

Is it true? Are there any draw backs to this gun? The little piece of brass is the end of a reinforcement that Remington started adding to fore ends in the
late '80s. The only drawback is the Remington ...
