Beretta Legacy pouch
Published (2009-12-12 20:30:00)
Rastoff, Thank you for the most generous offer; however I will respectfully decline as I have a Wild Hare product order in the ready after product confirmation Monday morning. Supposedly the Wild Hare “Deluxe Shot shell Pouch” was recently remodeled adding a covered accessory area and a D ring; so I am going to call first to make sure exactly what I am getting. It does have elastic shell loops but they look to be smartly positioned so your...

Kick-eze pads

I have Kick-EEZ pads on most of my gun. When it time to replace a pad it aways been a Kick-EEZ. I with Rastoff the Kick-EEZ has the right amount of firmness need to control the gun mount.

If you have no desire to shoot trap don't even start there. While all targets are good to practice with. The trap targets will be the least help with sporting clays. I shoot alot of trap and this is my opinion. This past season I got away from it a good bit. Shoot alot of skeet, wobble, 5-stand and sporting clays. The best decission I've made in a while. Put the fun back into shooting. I own quite a few shotguns but I've been...

The ban that they had was all inclusive and I hear they are dragging their feet in order to impede ownership of anything. So glad to be away from that area. You shoot at...

sera wrote: Try shooting swing thru and you will "see no lead"....try it again w/ pull away, and you will likely see a 1 ft lead or less . YOUR gun speed plays a huge role in what you "see" as the proper lead. Gun speed shouldn't matter with constant leads. Granted you have to be able to shoot swing thru for hunting and the occasional skeet which gets past you... Nonetheless skeet competition experts...

Shooting Instructors in Minnesota

Call the Minneapolis Gun Club in Prior Lake and ask for Mike Lohman. He charges $50 an hour for groups. And he's very personable and a talker, which can be good for women who need lots of verbal instruction - unlike most of us "monkey see monkey do" cavemen.

Thanks for the responses, there's alot to consider, I'm going to try to get to the range Thurs. or Fri., weather permitting they are calling for alot of wind, don't know what guns they have to rent, but I'll start trying out whatever is available. I don't know why but I never even considered an auto (I like single action handguns, lever rifles, walnut & steel, must have watched too many cowboy shows as a kid) ,...

In my patterning experience when you start shooting a choke at ranges that are too far for it you get a pattern that has a hot center and very loose around that. Although not really very "hot", the center of the pattern will have enough density to break targets and the edges will have very little...

As another LH, there are some choices for us folks. To address semis first - I have an 1100 that is RH configuration and I have no issues shooting it. Most LH folks really don't notice the empties There are neutral cast O/U's, and LH cast O/U's, depending on brand and budget What's yours?

When shooting from the 16 yard line, you will be breaking most of the targets between 30 & 40 yards away from you. Either choke will work, most use Mod or tighter, but try both and see how they work for you.

I would suggest calling Metro Gun Club in Blaine or the Minneapolis Gun Club in Prior Lake. I'm pretty sure both have instructors but have no idea of rates or any of that stuff. Oh you could also check with the Buffalo Gun Club.

Buy a cheap clay thrower from WallyWorld for $6. It will throw them pretty far if you learn how to "skip them".

This one? Yes, it's divided and ridiculously expensive. This one is much less expensive and a nicer pouch:

There are literally thousands of loads that are more than adequate for sporting clays. I shoot 1 oz of 7 1/2 at around 1250 fps, but have shot 8s on courses with closer targets. I suggest you download or review load data from the major powder manufactures and select a combination of components that are readily available in your area.

I have a Do-All Whitewing...... Do-All Customer Service told me that that unit's motor draws 16 amps..... I would say that the motor runs for at most 5 seconds per cycle........ by my old math that would give 45 throws per amp hour of capacity of a battery...... that said, I've been using a marine deep cycle battery (not a starting or dual purpose)..... and have been having occasions when ...
