I recently purchased a Remington STS Premier with Pro Bore choke tubes. I was aware that the Pro Bore chokes are made for the back bored barrel. The shotgun came with five chokes and I am trying to find the smae "brand". The choke holder case is unmarked as are the chokes, excepting the choke designation. They are extended, silver, knurled with engraved rings on the extended portion of the...

I'm just getting into shooting clay birds, and need help. I've shot pistols & rifles for a long time, but until recently haven't had an interest in shotgun. I'm right handed and shoot right handed. I've always shot left eye closed. A couple of friends had me test myself and it appears I'm left eye dominant. When I hold up my right index finger like a front sight and focus (both eyes open) ...

I saw a range a while back that had some sort of "screen" set up to catch the shot. Our club has some concern about shot fall areas, and would like to be able to reclaim at least a little of the shot. Our current backstop is trees, which makes reclaiming pretty much impossible, which is not our principal reason for the screen, but would be nice. Does anyone know of these screens? Where to...

Cast on vs. Cast Off? Which is which? I have read that cast off is when the stock is cast a little to the right for right handed shooters and the opposite for left handed shooters. But to the right which way; to the right when you look down the barrel from the stock toward the sights, or to the right when you look down the barrels from the business end of the barrels? My gun currently ...

Solitary foe disrupts Index gun range shooting test By Kaitlin Manry - Herald Writer - Washington INDEX -- The plan was: shoot toward the politicians. A half-dozen people gathered in waist-high grass Thursday morning to shoot in the direction of state representatives, local mayors and sportsmen. If the shooters were right, none of the birdshot from their shotguns ...

With your budget you should be able to get pretty much any auto loader you want. There are some very good models that are well made and reliable. Take a look at these models. Benelli SS,Sport II,Legacy Sport, Beretta AL391,3901,Wal Mart 390 (B/S only), Browning Gold's,Silver's, Franchi 712, Weatherby SAS, Winchester SX2,SX3. Is the quality of these two shells the same with the exception of the hull? I don't reload and can save about $20 per flat on the Super Target, but I don't want them if the components are inferior.

Now that my wife (my daughter has been shooting for a little over a year) has started shooting, it has become more acceptable to take a decent vacation with shooting as the main activity we want to do. Last year my daughter and I went to Vegas for the Vegas open and this year we want to go someplace again, this time with the wife along. We try and get away when the northwest gloom and rain ...

I need some help. After several seasons of shooting AAA-AA skeet I have developed a flinch. What will a release trigger cost for a K80? Has anyone had any success in dealing with flinch? I am going to have my eyes checked, and am thinking of taking a long break, but I need to solve this some how. OK, I'm probably opening the flame gates here and showing some naivete' about the sport of shooting clays but I have to ask this potentially retarded question. Isn't it more about the shooter than the gun? Do you really need to drop $1000-3000 on a nice clay rifle to be good? I mean, isn't it more about being comfortable and skilled with what you do have than how nice a gun you have? I ...

I am curious on knowing what companies manufacture in the country they are headquartered in. Browning is an American based company but manufactures in Japan. I think Beretta is all Italian. I would be really curious if any of them that do this are American. Last criteria would be companies that produce shotguns for skeet in the $2k-$4K range. thanks.

just bought a couple of lightly used Beretta 686 shotguns and I want to buy some extended chokes for them. I still need to get extended chokes for my Franchi 712 as well. I bought the Carlson Sporting Clays extended chokes for my Browing Citori and I guess they are ok. I'm still a novice to sporting clays and skeet so if there was any improvement in my scores, it would be from continous ...
