I just saw this and went to read about it on golfchannel.com
I remember seeing something about how the airbag didnt deploy and he was backing out of his home. How fast does he have to be going for a cadillac to hit a
fire hydrant then spin to hit a tree?
Correct me if someone has better information but he was backing out of his house right?

One of my guesses is that (and this is more of a general assumption of asian, not just Japanese) they don't have a sell sell sell everything and everybody type thing going on over there. What i'm getting at with that is that I don't think they have the sponsorship conglomorate to help up and comers get to the next level that we do in the west. They have to be better than our good to get noticed. ...

Apparently his appearance fee was actually $3.3 million, and hes been looked after 24 hours a day by a personal staff of around 15, put up in Crown Towers (some of Australia's most luxurios rooms) and basically been given VIP treatment everywhere he goes.
But somehow, its been a profitable exercise for the
state of Victoria... Not sure how, but tickets were sold out for ...

He had a 17th & 18th hole meltdown that cost him the tourney and his 1st PGA win.
I hope I would have been able to
control myself better than he did, but at least no one was injured.

Watching golf, I often find myself not really rooting "for" someone... but sort of against someone. I don't know why... but there are a number of players that I just don't like. When they play, I'm not sitting there saying "shank it! shank it!'. But if they are in contention, I'll almost always pull for the other guy... and for no good reason. To name a few...
