Adams Pro Black Hybrid

Sorry to high jack the thread, but I have an Adams Hybrid Question: Do the hybrids which come with the iron sets (AO Series for example) are similar to the Peanut or Pro Gold in any way or are they just crap to be replaced by higher end hybrids?

As far as the hosel depth, it seems shallow but with no hosel that may be just the way it is. I wouldn't know for sure, Rock would though. Shoot him a PM if he doesn't see this thread, he helped me out when I was reshafting an FT-5.
As far as a shim, you can't use a regular shim, you need a special Cally shim/adaptor, like the one I linked. The replacement sleeve is for .350 shafts and the ...

Refurbished balls are almost always rubbish. The finish comes off after two swings and it's a b*tch to get off your clubs.
Second chance balls are the way to go if you want to save some coin. Just make sure they haven't been refinished. The odd logo or even a scuff is easier to swallow than paint all over the place, and after one swing, it's basically the same thing, no?

Chris just informed me that you can order whatever model you want, so fire at will. I'll get a running list of what model and colour everyone wants.

Easy swap. You just need new ferrules and epoxy, plus grips.
Black Gold are so inconsistent set to set, it's not even funny. You'll have 3 shafts that are regular, two that are XX and the rest are a dogs breakfast on top of that. Poor, poor quality control and no increased performance to boot.

They look sweet. I built a set of Mizuno MP32's and used Blue Ferrule's with Blue/black DD2's they looked sharp. A friend of mine liked them and asked me to do his Hogan's. I reshafted them for him with PX satin's and he opted for Red Ferrules and Red/black DD2's they look sick.

id use it just to see how far it goes
there is nothing wrong IMO for using it in a round, but when it comes to tournament play id keep it in the car
IMO distance doesnt make too much of a score difference for me, i have a cobra i bomb but its not as easy to work as my mizuno which is 10 or so yards shorter
i shoot better scores with the mizuno overall because its never in trouble, plain and ...

Just the shaft. They come with higher-end shafts from other shaft OEM's, like Matrix, Mitsubishi, and Aldila.
It's worth the money because you know the given specs of the shafts they offer, and if those fit your swing profile. If you plan to put another shaft in there anyways, get the regular R9, and save the money.
