Ralph, I have used the Fed premium buckshot and thought that I had the right ones however I had 00 and my gun shoots 000 best I'm not even sure where I got those 00 they may have been in a pile of misc. ammo that was given to me some time back and I must have had a brain f**t and thought it was what I'd been using. I didn't hunt last year and I'm half kdubs age so you know I'm REALLY old and suffering from CRS. Thanks...

Well, we do use dogs for Bear in WI. I have seen some of that country down south and it is pretty wild and swampy in places so I guess it makes sense.

Reloading 20ga rifle slugs
Published (2009-12-01 05:21:00)
I get my sabots from gun servicing in Bordentown NJ. The best way to get the sabots and gas seals is to call Emma at 608-261-7373 after 5 PM on a work day. She will send you all the info you need to load some great loads. I use chedite hulls that I buy already primed, 28 grains of Blue Dot powder,CCS gas seal, hard cards for the wad column and a CCS sabot holding a Hornady XTP 45 cal pistol bullet.

4bore work. Working on design of firing pin, and waiting for parts now. Problem is getting real small parts without CNC for bushed firing pin with rebound spring. But it takes time. We will have swaged lead slugs in a little while as my barrel is smooth. They will be 1600gr hollowbase, when done, a hundred of them at least. Got wads and cards, shown in the picture with 4bore cases and slugs. And my 2bore case for comparison Also 12ga wads for...

brenneke slugs anyone?
Published (2009-11-28 20:06:00)
i ran some gold magnums thru my shotgun today and was very happy. i got about 2 inch groups with a 24 inch rifled ported barrel with cantilever scope mount. question is has anyone ever killed deer or bigger game with either the gold or black magic brenneke slugs. i like to mix it up and use odd ball calibers on game such as .458 lott or .375 rum on deer and shotgun slugs for moose. just like to be different and keep life interesting. let me know.

I had a 330T for a few years. They are very good shotguns. I put about
30,000 rounds through it before I sold it. I wish I still had it.

We got 600 gr slug to 2000 fps in NEF.Used ball
powder load. Case length of maximum 3.07 works.
Anyone using our style case should also put in adapter
for shotgun primer. Save a lot of work

My grandfather used to load #4 birdshot buffered with rock salt in his 16ga for home defence. Never had the mis fortune of gettin hit with it but I can only imagine the hurt that would put on someone. I have heard storie from some of the old-timers I used to work with that you could load about $1.20s worth of dimes in a 20ga shell. Don't know if I would want to even fire that one. You could ...

If the bumps are much more pronounced near the breech than the muzzle, it could conceivably be the result of an over-pressure load? Much more likely is that it was manufactured that way and is the result of stress relief of the heat from soldering the rib. Call Mossberg and ask how much of that is normal? You could measure it with a telescoping bore gauge. I would expect your eye to be able ...

Welcome to the forum.
I can't specifically answer for the A5, but in the U.S. serial numbers were not required prior to 1968. As for other countries, well.... I sure wouldn't know that. I have ses\en any number of military rifles with serial numbers on both the barrel and receiver.
Your best bet is to ask Browning and see what they say. Hopefully someone can shed light on the matter.
