Unfortunately I don't know anything about
Meopta, but I recommend Leupold to everyone who will listen. What is the price on the two?
I have the Vari-X III in 3.5-10x50 and I absolutely love it.

I have had similar problems with Midway USA and Brownells. You wouldnt think there would be that many customers by the name of William Iorg ordering gun stuff but there are a few…
If you get a Short Mag or a
Timberline compact scope you will enjoy it. Mine seem to be handling recoil from the hard kickers very well.

There are so many brands of scopes on the market today, its difficult trying to keep up with all of them. The less expensive brands are a crap shoot when it comes to quality and dependability.
Sounds like the adjustments aren't in sync with actual reticle movement and the shooter will just have to learn from varying distances what the
incremental value of each click represents. Tough way to...

Let us know what you think. I've been contemplating the same thing, and
usually use the same
scopes as you.

Got a nice deer from 347 yards using this scope on a sporterized Nazi
mauser k98 .270 win. Dropped it in it's tracks.

A lot of it really comes down to personal preference. If you are just going to shoot paper I would have much more power than a 4x. Paper doesn't move around on you like a deer might so you could use a
20x if you just going to be shooting off a bench. If you are planning on hunting with it and the maximum shot you might get is 200 then it would work out okay. I like a 3x9 for most hunting ...

Had a
reticle disappear on one of the older models. Sent it to their warranty shop in Florida and received a brand new one in less than 2 weeks.
Ever see all the "refrubrished" scopes for sale in the various catalogs? All scope brands will have the problem few from time to time.

It would help to know the caliber of your Weatherby and what and where you intend to hunt with it.
You have a choice of fixed or variable powered scopes from many different manufacturers. Personally I prefer fixed power scopes because they are lighter and more rugged, but a
variable scope in the range of 2x-8x, 3x-9x, 3.5x-10x or so would work well for most hunting. I have always felt ...

I have had decent luck with Bushnell Sportview Scopes, and Tasco scopes. I had a Tasco World Class 3-9 x 50 that I just couldn't kill, it took 4 years of pounding on top of my 338, until my rifle strap broke and it bounced off a rock. That scope saved my rifle, but was
beyond repair.
I have a Burris, have one on my 338 now. and I have a couple of leupold rifleman scopes.
My Burris is ...
