Yes petrosyan has come a long way, and the best way IMO, fighting in thailand and stuff.

I'm not sure masato has the best record against southpaws or matches up that well with them he lost to suriya sor ploenchit in one of his last fights in thailand and was dropped by kid yammamoto. I don't know if he's fought any others? He did a decent job of checking kicks with his right leg against suriya so maybe he won't do that badly at distance against petrosyan.

It's amazing how many people were claiming that Buakaw has fallen off, that he had been through too many wars (LOL) and basically not giving him much chances against guys like Souwer, Kyshenko and Masato. What does this fair weather contingent think now? I remember all this talk goes back as far as Buakaw's fight with Petrosyan. People were already doubting him then because he did not look dominant against some young italian...

saki - aerts will be the #1 reserve match, so if anyone pulls out one of them 2 will his place. If another fighter is injured the winner of ghita - arrab will come in.

Aerts-Saki is the best reserve match avaliable. Both are great fighters, who can beat the elite fighters, but struggled in some of their last few fights. I have absolutely no idea who will win this fight. 50-50 in my book. Arrab is an exciting heavy handed fighter, but I think that he was brought in to build up Ghita by a solid win. K-1 is HUUUGE in Romania and eastern europe,a big HW star from here would definitely help,Ghita got the potential...

K1 GP and the reserve fights........
If a fighter is unable to continue after advancing in the tournament, does his bested foe take his spot, or is it the winner of the reserve fight?
When Sapp beat Hoost and was unable to continue, Hoost was given the spot. (2002)

yes they should have an opinion on the scoring. And this was not bad for the less educated ones because it was clearly a robbery!
Its good that those guys point out it was a robbery.

Masato's retiring this year, and fighting a total of 3 times in 2009. He fought an exhibition against Hiroya at the Final 16 and a superfight against Kawajiri at the Final 8, but those weren't parts of the tournament proper. He will however, fight the 2009 champ on NYE for his last fight.

Looks like things didn't go as planned, you could see it in his eyes at the commentator booth, he's fighting neither souwer nor buakaw, or the grossly overrated Yamamoto (who didn't belong there in the first place). Will he fight 10 rounds against Petrosyan or...

-There is talk about it being 5 rounds so there is no doubt about the winner.
Petrosyan: Is that up to Masato?
- No, I believe that is Mr. Tanikawa's opinion...
Petrosyan: You mean, Masato, right?

in mma i always found his fights boring, and watching k-1 as of late, he's still boring, the only time i can get excited in a fight with him is when he seems to be on the ropes or losing.
having said that, in conjunction with my fledgling k-1 knowledge, i owuld htink 3 in a row puts him up there already, and 4 out of 5 would be even higher, right?
or is it all just because he has a ...

at first i thought it was just alot of weight lifting. but after i took a second to look at how his face has changed, and of the amount of acne that has come over him. i changed my mind, those are two indicators that can tell you that he is taking something illegal. i didnt say steroids, but those are also symptoms of steroids.

You're supposed to be a professional right? Stop concentrating so much on your stupid, banal, rehashed jokes and concentrate more on the fight.
