No, Scott said he made a few pair with the 1/2 length finger hood. They only had 2 pair left.

The new insoles I am using are "memory foam" and not very thick. They were $8 at a drug store. Made a BIG difference. Just tonight I trained 2 hours all standup and they felt good. They are stiff shoes that need breakin.

Is there some sort of bar across the top of the wrist section? What is that? Congratulations on your purchase!

Hayabusa Shin Guard Review

It seems nearly all of the 'grappling/mma' shin guards are like that regarding the amount of protection they provide. Or does someone know of a brand otherwise? Also, I could be wrong, but it seems to be that the Combat Sports mma shinguards have the exact same design, but the added benefit of being cheaper: Combat Sports MMA Training Shin Guards-Combatsports.com They don't look as nice as the Hayabusa's though. ;)

The Hayabusas are in some ways the opposite...extremely comfortable...

Tried to embed but failed at embedding. The TU website has Razor Rob using the new TU Heatseeker gloves, they look the same except for the logo but I'm sure the foam padding has been updated a bit.

King Professional shinguards
Published (2009-10-31 13:51:00)
I decided to buy these shinguards since they seemed to offer the best degree of protection for the foot and the kneecap. When you start to wear them they seem to be somewhat too long on the foot (I'm 6' tall and the L site covers almost completely my foot) but you get accustomed to that. The protection is great: sometimes I would have even preferred they were a little less padded to feel the kicks a little bit more when checking....

Great review and photos! Nice mouth guard. I have been waiting for someone to do a recent detailed review for the Elite model, as most people seem to go with the Pro model. Thanks. Very helpful information.

Nice review - I ordered the exact same pair (black w/ red) a week ago to supplement my Haybusas which I'm finding too light for hard sparring.
