So who thinks that religion should be banned from schools, religious garments banned from the workplace, and a total separation of religion and state? It serves no use, is outdated, and indoctrinates the weak minded.

I am told time and time again on here that atrocities attributed to Islam are the acts of the extremist section of the religion yet this piece advocating the murder of homosexuals amongst other things is purportedly an issue of moderate muslims:- http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/com...cle4641082. ece

More for the women, this one, I suppose. Anyway, my ex persists in calling my bags handbags, and they're not handbags. I don't have handbags. I have bags. Okay, perhaps it's nitpicking a little, but I don't carry them in my hand, so they are just bags, right? A handbag, to me, is a bag with the short straps that you can't get over your shouder so you have to hold them in your hand....

I just caught the last 20 minutes or so of 'When Women Rule the World' on tv. I hope that particular senario if never the complete norm in my lifetime. Although I am a gobby, opinionated independent chick, I still like my man to be manly, and would never even entertain the thought of treating a bloke that way. I may be caught in a bit of a contradiction, as I kind of have a 1950'...

In addition to the current inquest, there seems to have been an inordinate number of investigations of one kind or another into this case. I can't see what purpose these investigations are serving, other than as convenient sticks to bash the police with. Yes, he was wrongly killed and yes there were police mistakes, but do we really need to keep going round the houses with it?

I'm right on the fence with this one but to me, the most compelling evidence that it was faked is that NASA has "lost" the original high definition film of the landing. I really can't believe that such an important piece of human history could have been mislaid. We'll all find out soon enough though, Japan are sending an orbiting craft in 18 months or so which will take close up, high res ...

If you are so 'hard' as to smoke why whing about a bit of cold. Anyway, this is not a bash the smokers thread but just to say that i for one am enjoying the ban. Pubs and other public venues are now much more ...

Ester Rantzen did a tv programme tonight where they had 2 child actors pretending to be lost in a shopping centre. The children took turns to act very obviously lost, twice each, and over a thousand people in total walked past them before someone stopped to help. In these days of paedophile paranoia and remembering poor little Jamie Bulger, would you stop to help, particularly if you are male?...

views on this police officer??? Quote: A Greater Manchester police officer has been forced to resign after he was seen wearing a British National Party (BNP) badge at a football match. Stuart Janaway, 36, of Rixtonleys Drive, Irlam, Salford, wore the BNP badge to a game at Old Trafford in September 2006, while he was off duty. A misconduct hearing was held ...
