I love that
Black Friday seems to have evolved into a week-long endeavor. Some really great deals have popped up over the past few days!
Thus far I have purchased Fallen Earth on Steam for $25. Trying to be frugal this year so I'm really holding back from going nuts and spending lots of $$. :O

pointless - nice review. I got the game yesterday afternoon and after install played the campaign and liked it. I'm 58 and game for FUN. Graphics and music are great. My rig below runs it well. My lcd has max resolution of 1650x1080 and it ran great

I think the gravity gun and portal guns completely redefined what could be done in a FPS game. Not to mention that TF2 offered a unique take on team based FPS Mp that is

I was actually unexpectedly pleased with the game, perhaps for the very reasons you cite. It is simple and straight-forward with low demands on the brain pan, I get to shoot stuff and there's always more loot to check out. The key here is that its good casual shooting for me, easy to pick up and put down when I don't want to use my brain much.

I'll probably pick it up later this year. I have Forza 3 to play for a month or so. Definitely going to be getting it at one point though.

I'm about 8 hours in and I am really enjoying it. It is indeed a great improvement over the first game in almost every way. The only negative thing I have to say is that it really isn't a difficult game at all.

That level in the 2nd Encounter, where you're in a HUGE field and there are 3 Pyramids, You have to fight hundreds of Enemies and go into each pyramid and there's no load times. That was one of the
best times I had in gaming.
I liked to snipe those blue walking things but I hated the boney dog/wolf things that chase you down.
