I guess that depends on the quality of food etc, you bought
You can buy mostly frozen stuff, and i guess make it through pretty well on much less money.
I know myself and the wife spend about 500-600 on ourselves in groceries (which does not include eating out) and we are 2 people.

Didn't see it but as for #2, go watch the video for Bad Romance. There are a few scenes in it where she actually looks normal with minimal makeup and she's actually very pretty. And while her music is either complete love or hate for me with no in between, I really admire that she actually sings instead of lip syncing.
