Underwater Housing for SP-310/350
I believe you can still get the Ikelite housing (around $429) by special order. You could call ST and ask, they are a Ikelite dealer.

I look for the name "Highland" or "Halcyon" in quality bands, personally, but that is an awfully tempting price, I'd agree. Piranha has been pretty good about
getting together quality stuff, and standing behind their products, so it's probably worth a shot.

I have a ranger and have dove it with doubles. That said, you'll want a purpose designed rig. The zeagle can do it, its just has a large number of
trade offs as compared to the traditional BP/Wing or even a softpac and wing (like the transpac)
As for the wing itself - for me, there is no doubt dedicated wings are the way to go. If you go big for doubles, then single tanks suffer. If you go ...

looks an awful lot like a regular bcd to me minus the inflation, personally im a fan of the hogarthian rig, a basic one piece harness and backplate plus whichever wing is appropriate for the tanks your using. its modular, extremely cheap and easy to change the webbing, the backplate is pretty much
indestructable etc
possibly this harness Hollis Gear: Solo

You want it stiffer for the shoulders (easier to don) and soft for the crotch (obvious reasons).
It will still
soften with use.

DIR is indeed a philosophy and method of thinking so to speak. I do believe that it evolves over time. The big thing to relaize with DIR is that it takes a simplistic and uniform aproach to diving. While there are those in the
recreational diving realm that practice it or at least some part of it, the area that it is more prominent is in the tec diving areas.
Technical diving (tec or rec...

Any and all.
Basic exposure protections is anything from a skin to a drysuit. anything more than a 5/4mm suit and I am diving dry. I have both a whites and Dive Rite drysuit. I use either Jets, Turtles or quattros with the quattros as my preffered fins. (though with a couple
stage bottles - the jets are the best choice)
Normally for backmount it a simply BP with a 55lb wing, double ...

I use bungie with
zip ties. I used to use surgical tubing like the manta premade ones but it doesn't stretch as easily.
I zip tie it so it can't be removed
you don't want a bolt snap on your backup
