Hello mate I sure do, i've given up bikes for good If you really don't mind and want to have a look that would be extremely helpful. I phoned him tonight and talked about price as I explained it's a bit far to come to find out our ideas of price are a million miles apart. He told me his bottom price and I probably can't really argue on it as he claimed it owed him nearly that so couldn't go lower. He told me again...

End of it all for SAAB today?

No replies shows you the apathy towards the brand. up to the Eighties they were cool and quirky, now just overpriced Vauxhall.

Agree - Saab died many years ago. They were idiosyncratic, now they are just asthmatic.

I'd buy one. In fact this is possibly the only type of SAAB I'd buy - Saab : Saab 900 Turbo S (FPT) Aero - price reduced again or even the Carlsson model. Saab : Carlsson 900 t16 148k miles £4995 My mate has a superb black 900 Aero Turbo and another has a Sonett - very rare but made of fibre glass with a 3 cylinder engine... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...Sonett-mk3.jpg Saab stopped being Saab after the 900, IMHO. What are your motoring requirements/priorities?
Power, speed, handling, practicality, boot, 4 doors, looks, drivetrain set up, etc, etc. I mean, we could recommend a 3.0 luxury 4 door saloon or a two seater sports car for that money...

Hi Bravo
First things first - I have not got that particular model
I think the actual name for yours is the Land Cruiser 90 Series (Colorado)
(I found all the model names very confusing when I was looking)
I have the 100 series (Amazon) which is a totally different car bit like what the RR Sport is to the full fat Range Rover
My real buying criteria were space I ...

A friend has one and he says it's frugal as hell compared to his wifes Focus TDI. I know many people that own Vauxhalls and have nothing go wrong with them but you still hear people slating their build quality. I hear all sorts of people at work having problems with their BMW's and Volkswagans that supposedly reliable and have excellent build quality.

We run an "S" for my mum through work, a 53 plate purchased from new.
Personally I would happily put a Swan Vestas to it, but she (as well as all the girls oddly) seems to like it.
Highlights include:
Engine let go at 30k miles. Porsche didn't seem to agree that a £55k car should not lunch itself, but were kind enough to offer us a new motor for a "heavily discounted" £8k. Fitting ...

It's a Navara basically, built in Spain in kit form and from what I've read, not particuarly reliable and certainly not a Toyota as far as reliability goes.
But, I do quite like the look of them, although the Murano (detuned 350z lump) would be my personal choice if buying Nissan (GTR excluded!).

Not sure about what to look for apart from the obvious things when buying any vehicle. Just thought id say i have an 02 ls dti and it has been 100% reliable, never missed a beat. Mine goes well as it is, the 2lt in the sportive must go like a rocket!

Total classics but I'd set aside at least £2k a year (on top of servicing) to keep it running well.
A mate has done up two - huge amount of work but utterly lovely machines. £25k is a lot though!!

Same engine thats in the Saab 95... and when I did a bit of reading on them, seem to have a known problem IIRC they bend rods with/without a remap under the belt. Put me right off the (brief) idea about them.
Cheers,
Grant
