Agreed, the PC versions was going to turn into a shambles, its probably getting a tart up, although i would have thought that the game would have been pressed by now and all retailed up!

Okay, everything is synced and I've created the patchstick. The wife was mega-impressed with the picture slideshow so she's been sat for nearly an hour just looking through pics. I'll start the modding tomorrow

My PC has become really slow ..... at first I thought in was the Internet connection. A Speed Test gives me Download at 240kbps and Upload at 318kbps and, although not great, I don't think it is any worse than it has always been? It seems to be the PC itself. Sometimes as I type the letters don't appear - like the CPU is busy elsewhere (but everything is turned off) it's like my very first PC 12 years ago when the plotter was...

I dont think the issue is with the password as the profile error will occur once the user has logged on (with the correct password) although it could be usefull if the admin password is not known

Can of worms mode........... OPEN Can of worms mode.......... When you say USB adaptor, do you mean the Xbox dedicated wireless adaptor?? Got any links cant find nowt about it on the internet apart from the one that its was delayed by two weeks, Delay is probably due to the ammount of people who cancelled their pre order due to MW2 not supporting dedicated servers, Now they are probably looking to change the game to suit

I use a bt homehub (crap i know).
At times i lose connection for no reason.
When I run the tests on the xbox it cant find the homehub.
To get it back on I have to change the wireless channel on the hub and it will then pick it up ok.
I've been using it for just over a year and this has happened 3 times which isn't too bad.
Not sure if this has anything to do with your issue tho but ...

You'll have to fully restore using iTunes, which will update to 3.1.2. Then go to the blackra1n site and click the button. If you unlocked via redsn0w, I'd wait for 3.1.2 to be unlock compatible otherwise you'll be stuffed.
If using blackra1n for iPod Touch, make sure the iPod is still jailbreakable with Blackra1n.
Make a note of all your JB'd apps too because they will ALL be lost!

I've got an AppleTV, it's currently in it's box since we moved last year and I've not plugged it in at the new place as yet. But I did install XMBC on it and it seemed ok, however, the Apple remote that comes with it does limit some of the things you can do, as the buttons don't exist on it to perform various actions (can't remember what for sure).

Depends what you use the machine for, pci network cards are cheap as chips, i have just thrown one out!
If all you need is a machine to browse the net and write some letters, you don't need to upgrade at all IMHO

Sounds like you're not getting as far as windows.
when you restart/switch on, do you get any post information? this sort of stuff on a DOS screen?

does it say, press F1 or DEL or F12 on the DELL screen? what do you get when you press any of those?
