Is there a high incidence of fires in school buses? Is the number unacceptable? Do they all get reported to NHTSB? What are the main reasons for fires? Poor design? Poor vehicle build quality and inferior components? Poor maintenance/inspection? Other, eg. deliberate? A rather large report was compiled

When I did public transit, the driver didn't touch it. You'd radio for another bus and swap out, and they'd handle the mess at the garage. With the school bus, it's the driver's responsibility, and unfortunately I've had to clean up puke a number of times in my 4 years driving
school buses.
