> From what I have heard specific to your comment from several drivers is that the belts and use required help out new drivers more than experienced drivers. But for all drivers the belts help keep students sitting forward and far less need to be reminding students. Testimonies from researchers and bus drivers in the seat belt study, 'IMPACT OF SEAT BELT USE ON STUDENT CONDUCT ON BUSES,' most of the bus drivers and some principals...

The bus looks pretty darn good considering what happened to it. I feel for the 17 year old in the front row, farthest right. He was ejected and only have minor injuries, all of those to his left were ejected and killed. A 340 pound bus driver flying...

I'm just a regular substitute bus driver, in Florida, so I drive all kinds of kids (regular and special needs). I've never left a student on an empty bus, but I've been surprised at the end of a run when a student's head popped up over the seat! I'm actually pretty surprised there wasn't...

"District officials say bus drivers check their buses after every run, but sometimes the buses go on several runs a day and don't have time to check." The first part of that statement is a lie because obviously that wasn't the case for Darryl. The second part of that statement...It takes fifteen seconds--if you are slow--to check your bus. Terrible accident. A simple cup of coffee only for breakfast is a fine recipe for diabatic shock. What are school bus inspection standards in PR? I ask because, from the picture, I believe that the right inside dual tire would be OOS in the states, I see at least one questionable spot on the outter dual, same side.
