Yes, the 440 series Convertible had a standard all vinyl interior available in a medium shade of mono-tone blue. The Convertible boot should match the interior trim color. It utilized a bench seat with a folding center armrest. I'm looking forward to seeing your build and/or WIP. Feel free to contact me if you need any further technical information that will assist you in your build, if you are going...

Thanks so much again fury3 - much appreciated. You seem to be about the most helpful person on this site. As you know, this kit's interior tub is VERY basic but accurate colors improve any model. And like all my Johans the body, grille, bumbers etc. are spot on so your effort gets rewarded. As you've proven yourself they can produce a fine looking model. (I'm also working on the 60 DeSoto) I'm expecting Santa to bring me a...

You mean you have DM flex fans? But to answer your question, they were a popular hot rod modification to get rid of the 'heavy' fan clutch, and add more air-moving-capacity to the old 4-bladed solid-mount fans in the '60's and '70's. Gene Beaird, Pearland, Texas

As I recall, my '40 had a transverse rear spring and the shackles were offset. They were either in front of or behind the axle. So longer shackles would lower the frame relative to the axle. But by the late '50s, taildragging was considered uncool by West Coast hot rodders. We lowered the fronts and hoisted the rear ends. Maybe that's why we were always getting chased by the neighborhood dogs....

Yeah, pretty poor example for a tire. Try spraying the white wall inserts with satin/semi gloss black.

The AMT '63 Corvettes had some fairly good Webers but the manifold was for a big block. You might be able to adapt a fuel injection small block manifold (as in the AMT '55 Nomad or Double Dragster) to use them.
