Just curious if the 2006 AWD vue came with stainless exhaust or not.

Strikers Saturn Vue Adventures -...

Earlier this year I was driving to the airport in Detroit at 4am in a Chrysler 300 (RWD). This was before they salted and plowed the roads. I remember one curve I was turning left and the Chrysler wasn't turning. I always take my foot off the gas, and turn a little more, not wanting to have it over correct when the tires finally grip. I wasn't driving over 30 mph, the brave or foolish ones drove a bit faster... Several times we were...

Rear Wheel Drive Assist

Today I enjoyed another VUE wintertime peculiarity, the surprise avalanche. You know, when the snow is over and you're driving around - you come to a stop and the whole roof-full of snow slides down over the windshield and gets jammed in the hood opening at the cowl, preventing it from sliding off the hood. It's too heavy for the wipers so you have to stop wherever you are and clear it before you can see to drive. Sure, you could...

Thanks for the reply. Last night, I looked under the car. It looks like spaghetti hanging under there. The belt appears to be shredded. I'll be talking to my mechanic today.

Managing wheel spin in the snow is key. If you don't have traction control, then you need to be especially sensitive to it. All tires have their best traction at a certain % slip (varies for each tire and surface) but too much slip and you are just polishing the compacted snow into slippery ice and you'll never move. I've never had too much trouble with my 5 speed VUE and Michelin X-Ice tires. If we get snow and the temp is...

Colored vinyl headlight covers

Mine were dark gray, but the dark gray piece is a separate cover. I painted that and the chrome under it black. Some years came with that piece in chrome though.

I don't believe you can buy that part by itself. I think it has to come with the new cable. Mine broke 2 days ago, so I fabricated a modified c clamp to hold the cable to the shifter. I weld for a living so it was a fairly easy job. I might have to start mass producing these things if the market warrants it. Let us know if you locate that part.

I don't mean to sound rude but.
"I was able to just truck right on threw the ice covered trails with 2 ft. of snow on the roads. Snow got to be 3 ft. deep around 6K feet"
Theres no way the vue will PUSH its front end through 2 feet of snow, and forget 3 feet.
the pictures you show look like 1-4 inches.

I don't think I would trust this. There are some horror stories out there about these leaking or failing after road debris.
"Drive carefully at all times, and if you run over any foreign object on the road, pull over and check the valve for any damage or leak.
N-Series valve(with Nipple to accept hose) is not recommended for passenger cars with low ground clearance"

I have spent most of today digging out, so I didn't do much driving. I was wondering, how well does this system do when you are going in reverse

I haven't had any issues with my unused and exposed standoffs. They don't stand up all that much and you'll never notice they are there unless you are standing on a tire or the door sill looking at the roof. I believe they are made out of some kind of corrosion resistant material or coating.
