Buzzing from blower motor/low...
Published (2009-12-26 15:26:00)
So the Blower motor on the ION doesn't require the removal of a good amount of the dash? Glad to hear that. Had mine replaced a couple times under warranty (squeaking at low temps/low speed) back when my Vent Doors were jamming and/or non-functional. Since the Dash was opened up they could kill both birds with one stone.

Airbag light

If the set gets wet, PSS will suppress airbag deployment and will work again once the seat is dry. I found it on page 82 of the 2007 owners book.

The cabin filter was replaced just prior to me purchasing my car. I've located the housing and whatnot for the motor. Before I go into cutting it out, I will be cutting between the two circular plastic ribs, correct? And this won't cause any permanent damage to components sharing space with it?

Starter slow crank intermittently
Published (2009-12-25 10:16:00)
When my 03 displays the ignition switch symptom, sometimes it will do this. The car will crank, and almost start, then not start at all, and I will get the lock icon. Its almost as if the car wants to start, but the ignition switch interrupts that. I replaced the switch, and it has only done it maybe half a dozen times in the past year of service. When the switch was bad, it would do it every day. I doubt the starter is the problem, they are...

I would start with replacing the cabin filter.
Flip the glove down which will expose a flap that you lift up so that you can remove the cabin filter. To flip the glove box down you will need to pry the sides ( back end of the sides) of the glove box in so that the stops will get by the dash.

unless you are doing some really tough stop and go driving i wouldnt even do the oil filter at 2500 miles if you are changing at 5000. at 5000 miles most are at about 40 to 50 percent oil life left

sounds like a going starter and/or solenoid, as far as I know they are purchased as a unit on these cars.

find out what is popular at local shops where professionals install them, they install them a lot because they work. call multiple shops and if they carry the same ones, that's a good indication. also ask what one might work best on a newer GM, passlock compatibility is a must.

Your going to have to take the door panel off and look for chafed wires. You have a short to ground blowing the fuse. Look for any wires that have the wire itself exposed.

a number of things could cause the light to come on in 2007s. you have at least 3 sensor outputs and some modules in each front seat. it's an 07, so if it's under warranty, take it in.
my car did not store airbag codes when I had a mysterious light.

I'll take a stab at your questions.
If you still have the manual (which your post says you do...) the bulb information (just like the fuse block info) should be listed for what type of replacement to get for the DOME light. Most well stocked parts stores should have what you need or can order it... Just shop (call) around. GM Dealerships aren't always expensive on stuff... Plus when they...

Might as well get the strut mount/bearing while you have it apart, plus any rubber bits could be replaced.

where you insert the key to start the vehicle manually, there's a set resistor value that needs to be matched with the right key. Passlock will come on and the vehicle will not start for a certain amount of time, if a wrong key is used, or the key switch resistor is old. When it gets cold outside, the properties of the resistor can change and so the key will become unrecognizable even if ur ...
