Ok I know that most of us are sad because our team is bad and the Dodgers are in the hunt for the WS. I am here to impart good news. I was looking at the Dodgers 2009 payroll situation and came up with this: Signed for 2009 Schmidt $15.5 mil Pierre $ 10.0 mil A. Jones $ 15.0 mil Kuroda $ 10.0 mil Arb Eligible Martin Saito Either Broxton Proctor ...

The Giants have said they will use the free agent market this winter to find relievers to help them sow up a weak spot for them the past couple of years. But most of the arms probably will come from within the organization. Two such examples could be Connecticut RH's Kelvin Pichardo and Justin Hedrick. Both had good seasons this year and both have been progressing very well. Another arm is ...

1. Nationals: Stephen Strasburg, rhp, San Diego State. Strasburg stands head and shoulders above the rest of the draft class, much as David Price did in 2006. Strasburg's resume includes a mid-90s fastball, a hard breaking ball, command, a 23-strikeout game against Utah and an Olympic bronze medal (he was the only collegian on Team USA). The only question is whether the Nationals will ante up ...

He's swingin' at pitches in the dirt, has been nowhere to be found this entire postseason, and is choking when they need him most. His OBP, BA have both taken a huge dip from previous years.

h ttp:// www.youtube.com/watch?v=4SqJz0NgnnE&feature=relate d I don't know how many of you have ever seen this, but I hadn't, and it must have been recently, since Eliezar Alfonso is the catcher in the game. This is an amazing catch. Just watch it

Watching the NLCS here. Phillies holding onto a 1 run lead. Due up: Ethier, Manny and Martin It seems to be that *this* is the most important inning of the game. I would use Lidge here and try and stomp out that middle of the order threat. Then let the lesser pitcher (who's still really good) finish the 9th against the 6-7-8 hitters. Conventional baseball managing makes me scratch my head ...

For all the people that are going to vote for Obama in November? You people will be responsible for the down fall of this country. You weak winded people are so desperate for a change? Well, you will get change, but not exactly what you thought you would get. 1 John 2:19 19 They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have ...

All the talk about Timmy and the playoff teams and I seems we never really had a good discussion about what everyone's favorite workhouse did this season... Final Numbers: 3.76 ERA, 217 IP, 186 Ks, 91 BBs 1.36 WHIP Career Thus far: 3.74 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, 7.7 K/9, 3.8 BB/9 (not even going to bring up wins or course) There were areas where he improved and areas where he regressed or struggled...

S.D. is stuck with Giles (high buyout), like the Giants are with Winn at about the same price. Both teams bring up the rear in batting. Giants last with RSIP, near bottom in other catagories such as OBP & SLG. Both teams have bullpen issues. S.D. rumored to be offering Peavy and Kouzmanoff in attempt to get major league ready prospects. They face the same problems with home park. If Sabean ...

Its time for everyones favorite topic of discussion once the season ends, Trading Matt Cain. Coulda...Woulda...Shoulda.... Cain COULDA been a great pitcher if the Giants WOULDA got some offense in the lineup, but they didn't, and they SHOULDA traded him when they had the chance. He has the potential to be a stud for a long time, but lets face it people, he can get us some quality Type A ...

Rowand: owed $48 mill over the next 4 years (remaining signing bonus would be paid by new team right?? Soriano: owed $106 mill over the next 5 years. *Cubs wouldn't do the deal straight up...so We add Fred Lewis. Rowand and Lewis to Cubs for Soriano. Do you do this deal if you are Sabean? If you are the Cubs Gm (Hendry)???

Say it aint so It didn't sound like a farewell when CC Sabathia prepared to exit Miller Park on Sunday afternoon after the Brewers were eliminated from the National League Division Series by the Phillies. In fact, the 28-year-old left-hander, who did so much to help carry the Brewers into the postseason, left the door open about a possible return to Milwaukee. Would Sabathia, who will file...

Alright all you kid loving punks. Listen up. Our pitching is first rate, especially if we sign N. Cal. native C.C. Sabathia. Because of that, the Giants can contend in 2009! We can't afford to go through the growing pains the come with playing too many kids. Let me expound on this point. First off, Nate doesn't have the power to be in rightfield. Look where playing a punch and judy ...
