Oh, man. This thing has been going on for months! I'm trying to avoid taking it to the shop unless I have to. It's a 1988 5-speed Manual V6 2.8L. I first thought this was a no-start hot issue because it was doing it after the truck would warm up. I'd fire it up and it starts every morning then I'd ride and stop somewhere and then it wouldn't start. Just cranks. I'd have to wait a while then it...

Mine has 174k and counting. Still runs good, just leaks a quart of oil out the rear main every 3000 miles. _________________ I'm going to put some stickers, an aluminum wing and a 5 inch fart can muffler on my 16 second import, then brag to the world it's the fastest thing on wheels.

2.8 will not start (again). This time, connections, relays, etc. are all OK. Sprayed a little carb cleaner and it fires right up for a few seconds. Doesn't have fuel pressure it seems. New fuel pump has had 4 or 5 tanks of fuel used, is it possible it went bad on me? Could it be something else causing it not to work that I have not checked out? I cannot tell if the fuel pump is ...

Hi this is my first post, I just bought a 1993 gmc sonoma 2.8 v6 5-speed. I need to know if I should hear the fuel pump when the key is in the run position. If so, I don't hear anything and there is no fuel squirting from the injectors when I try to start the truck. I can however pour a small amount of fuel in the TBI and the truck will run for a moment. So what things should I check, and where ...

Hello all, Looking at some cheap-o fixer-uppers... I've got a line on a $300 Bravada with a CPI injection problem dumping fuel in the oil, and I've managed enough research to say that yes, I can fix that. I also have a line on a really cheap Corsica with a 2.8. I loaned a girl at work $400 last summer to buy it, and she drove it up until a few weeks ago when it crapped out ...

Ive been dealing with a electrical problem and after doing some recearch and tests Ive discovered that the. ECM B did not have constant power like the diagrams that Ive looked at showed. My problem was no fuel or fuel pump relay clicking as mentioned. I was refered to the head light switch by a friend and tried that. The reason I thought this might be that switch was because sometimes ...
