Halfshaft boot leaking grease??
Published (2009-12-16 19:41:00)
Got the halfshaft out and checked it but with no visible signs of damage. I can squeeze the boot and hear air coming out from what I believe is the areas of grease leakage. Can I get a worm gear type hose clamp on the boot and try that?? I really wish I would have put this thread in the right location.

Help Me Decide...
Published (2009-12-18 10:09:00)
Depends: For street days, Brembo blank rotors, stock or cheaper pads, off the shelf DOT 3 brake fluid, and stock lines. For track days, I like Brembo blanks or Two piece 13" Cobra front rotors soon to be available in two versions , Carbotech pads, and MOTUL 600 brake fluid. I can't recommend stainless steel lines because I haven't done them.

Bolt-On Spacers vs. Spacer and...
Published (2009-12-20 16:36:00)
I went through this saga over a year ago trying to get 1/2in spacers in with the cheapo moroso studs... ended up breaking 9/10. Went back to factory studs and 1/4in spacer. Then I put the arp studs on my dads car, had 0 issues.

Stock coupe springs might be what you want. If you trim the coils you can
get the ride height just where you want it. The sports are going to be too
low and the race springs might be to stiff. The eibachs might also be a
good choice except the rear will be too high and you will need to trim the
rear coils to give a good stance.

well since the rears have to deal with the torque i did 3 inch moroso studs
but the fronts when adding skinnes just use the bolt on spacers. this is
with racing in mind if your just cruising bolt on spacers are fine in the
rear

Get another set of springs and cut 3/4 of a coil. Leave the fronts alone
and you'll have an awesome rake.

STEEDA is a premium brand.
I used to work there, and I know how much effort went into it.
It corrects steering geometry especially on lowered cars.
Not just a light weight piece.

Hi Bruce.
Any sale on your two piece rotors? I'd love to get a set that would be a "drop in" installation on my 03Cobra with the Brembo 2000R brake kit.

I've seen the outside boot go bad because of the brake line rubbing it...
off the top of my head, I can't think of what's around the inside boot...
ABS wire maybe? Just throwing out an idea. I would guess that something is
rubbing it though...

I woulds suggest KVR, for rotors and pads. 2nd choice would be Power Slots and Hawk. I'd recommend Stop Tech or Russell as far as the lines go and fluid Motul-get it from maximum motorsports. kvrperformance.com they should still exist.

The rear will be significantly lower than the front. I'd wait and install
all four springs and the C/C plates at once.
