rotating assembly over short block?
Published (2009-11-29 20:50:00)
I was hoping to max at 7,000 - 7,200 rpm when the setup was all said and done, that makes me feel much better. I think this is REALLY telling on what we can do with a basic internal build. Quite amazing what these engines are capable of with some coaxing.

Dynoed the car.......Very Lean!
Published (2009-11-29 08:15:00)
I remember that car in the for sale section, really nice looking setup. If I where you I would just park it till you get a dyno tune, no point of being tempted to get on it.

2010 Pinks All Out Schedule!!
Published (2009-11-28 12:04:00)
Maybe I'll get into the finals again.......only think about Pinks is that it's a production.....not all is what it seems once the editors get the footage. Extremely fun non-the-less. I enjoyed tremendously!

I don't know the answer to your question. But from all of the discussions posted on the forum most folks seem to think the best TB is the 66 L and M without the tune. Of course you already know I am using the VMP 67 TB and I have been wandering which one is the best. If you are using the cobra yet TB one of these others would most likely be better. It is my humble opinion the best TB's go ...

Going with 3.73 will give you better acceleration, different shift points and less clutch chatter when taking off. I was very pleased after installing the 3.73, I went with the ford motorsport ones, they do have some noise to them even with .008 backlash. Just part of it though, doesn't bother me, just turn the radio up and give it more throttle!

I have seen them with the required shim "paint marked" on the pinion,
not stamped.
I have installed using this method with good luck (double checking the contact).. also I like to keep the back-lash tight .005-. 008, if you drag race the car it WILL "open up".
-my 2 cents
