Published (2009-12-13 23:08:00)
i knew a kid a while back who did a Delta 44 but with stock fuel and i think he only only boost 10psi. (but i could be wrong) if your gonna do a turbo kit just do it the right way. get everything at once and install it all at once. saves time and Money

what type of cai or sri should i do
Published (2009-12-12 22:52:00)
this was discussed before. you wont get any benefits by just putting a filter on the turbo. its way too hot in the engine bay near the turbo, it'll just suck a lot of hot air in. just get any brand intake. and put a vc breather filter, cap the openings on the intake pipe.

6.5 Quarts of Oil Upon BS...
Published (2009-12-06 15:46:00)
I am in no way saying that running more oil is a bad thing. It does help. Even DCR said that they had seen lower temps with the additonal oil. My thing is, that upon removal of the BS assembly the total amount of oil needed is decreased. The BS assembly does disperse oil when the pan is full (engine not running), but that theroy goes out the window when the engine runs. Sure neither of the arguing parties have ever had an issue with an engine...

I'm assuming its a big turbo...... you can just put an appropriately sized filter on the inlet of the turbo.
If one insists on getting an intake and has a turbo with a 3" ...

IMO they are all a waste of time. Save the money and get dogbones. I had prothane inserts and they ripped out the first time I went down the strip.
They did help keep things solid when I was on the street, but nowhere near as much as the solid mounts you can get. I have AGP mounts.

I can only really tell you my own experience. I've been using a good check valve between the manifold and catch can for several years now. I also still use the factory PCV valve. My check valve is from McMaster-Carr , part number 7775K53. It has a low cracking pressure and the right specs for this application. It's worked very well for me.

AGP standard front mount. Not the direct fit, and not the racing one. Standard will be just fine.

You can easily run 400hp on the stock block with a good tune and all the
right equipment. It gets risky around the 450-500 hp range. And the delta
44 is a hell of a turbo. If you choose agp get the 44 it'll make it easier
to reach your goal and you'll have room for more power WHEN you want it.
The s3k is also a killer setup with a crazy powercurve. Either turbo you
choose will get you where you ...

well first off with a stage 0 PCM you cant hit 18 psi. you'll start to get the flutter and fuel cut
you will need to get a DSP or a stage 1 or a MAP clamp in order to get to 18 psi.
with my Kinetic WGA. i got it at the point where in 3rd 4th and 5th im at 15psi till red line. 1st and 2nd gear im around 9-10 psi im also at a stage 0 pcm with no DSP or MAP clamp. i didnt take out any vaccum...

13:1 is way too high of an A/F pretty much anytime under boost. You are putting your engine at serious risk if you continue to go WOT.
Typically on pump gas, you want to tune for 10.7-11.3:1 with no knock.

pull out the RFL, and take the piston out, you have to clean all the bov, inside and outside, and once its everything shinny add some cv join grease to the piston (not too much) and install the bov again in your car... this will address the issue.
Actually, it was not the problem it will really help to the bov.
