Moving on to Eddie Kendricks and Keep On Truckin' , R&B #1, pop #1 in the summer of 1973. It's a little weird to hear the Temptations' Mr. Smooth on top of this funky Stevie Wonder-esque clavinet groove, but a great track nonetheless. I'm surprised that this rather funky track hit #1 pop while seemingly even more commercial contemporary material such as "Ain't No Woman Like The One I've...

The Bee Gees later body of works is quite satisfying to this Gibb Brothers fan. I especially love Still Waters, One & ESP. High Civilization and Size Isnt Everything have some good tracks and some hold many gems.
A personal favorite is "Overnight" on ESP this Maurice Gibb cut shines from the melody line to his multi instrumentalist skills with a great lead vocal. He was very underrated. ...

Rule of thumb: If it say's LIMITED EDITION or COLLECTIBLE...
It's not.
The products of real value are the ones that come and go and are ignored. Then, years later they get discovered by the masses, get desirable, and can't be found because 60% of them ended up in a landfill because nobody cared.
Anything else is just hype.

My British LP's (the Alan Dell digitals in the 20 LP box set from the mid-80's) is the definitive modern-day issue for me even though they're the "extended to 12 tracks by including singles" versions. Very free of echoey effects and absolutely faithful to the original 10" grey label LP's (which I also have in very good condition). Ah, what a fabulous performance of " A Foggy Day"!

I'm a huge McCartney fan but I find myself passing over the live CD's - there's just so many of them. The only one I actually listen to is Wings Over America. The others just don't get much rotation.
I used to get all of the live DVD's but I guess I'm one of the people who gets annoyed by the editing. The quick camera cuts and fan interviews between songs just ruins it for me and I ...

Miles Davis 77 CD Boxset
I see that they have announced a new 77 CD boxset of Miles Davis called THE COMPLETE COLUMBIA RECORDINGS. Do you think that this will include all of the material that is included in the metal spine boxes, or just his regular album releases? Also, even though the 77 CD box set should be out this year, rumours are that ...

For my money, I like "Helter Skelter" or "Yer Blues" of the White Album. For acoustic cuts I like "Norwegian Wood" or "That Boy"
