I did say it was not true, but then they said they did the meatas and were ranking for the specific term (however they had the exact match kid for it). I tried explaining that they could be on the front page for lots of different terms but they were happy they had that one spot, and was happy that it was plenty. Could have ended up having a row about meatas tags over the phone. I will try to explain things better though.

I have set my conversion revenue amount for this campaign at $115 in Reporting>Conversions>Code. When looking in Reporting>Conversions, however, a given conversion appears with a "Value" of $157.95. How is this possible (my budget is only $14/day)? Thanks.

I am a Google Adwords newbie and have been trying different things with my advertising in my first couple of months. I started the new year with a campaign that implements everything I have learned in my first two months advertising on Adwords. My preceding campaigns had between a 2-4% CTR. This may have been effected by me making a lot of changes and trying different things. My latest campaign is producing a 5.8% CTR. I can imagine there...

Without double-checking I am fairly sure Adwords will give you cumulative conversion value as well as an individual cost-per-conversion. e.g. $800 revenue with clicks costing $24 per sale

since when did you need to do other than put meta data in? I guess its something that is much more difficult to express over the phone, they probably just think that you're trying to earn money out of them. And they probably have the 'I know everything' mentality.

Not a big task. You need to format your urls differently for different campaigns. This approach might work if there is low competition for the queries. If there is a lot of competition and a lot of queries then you might save a lot of money with ads for every town that each link to a landing page for that same town. In that case I would generate the landing pages for each town with a program that runs the town names through a template. This will work with ...
