Sunroof rattle
Published (2009-11-24 19:16:00)
I had a rattle that I thought was my sunroof, I thought it was the slideing shade but in fact it was the trim that surrounds the alarm interior sensors. it's the grill with slots in it just by the interior light. The clips that hold this trim in place are what rattle as they are metal clips inserted into the plastic trim. if you remove this trim it is so rattly that you can use it as a tamberine. A drop of superglue on each metal clip...

Is it worth popping down for a check on a brand new car or is it something that slowly changes over the months? Or will the brand new car be totally straight from factory? I want to keep the new cupra in good shape as i want to keep this one a few...

I think there have been a few DP issues, but can't recall whether they have been with the PD cars of the new CR cars (or both).
There is a thread on here somewhere with some info on it (prob. in the diesel section).
Other than that mostly good.

There was a previous thread about something similar. Don't think anyone actually got round to fitting them as they were designed for LHD cars.

Good on your jon,
Regarding the headlamps, get em cheap from David @ SEREmotoros on here.
Im not sure i understand where you mean your going to buy the halogen headlamp units and fit the bi-xenon projectors. wouldnt you just buy the bi-xenon headlamp units in the first place?
and how do you use your exisiting ballasts with the D2S bulbs? isnt the ballasts part of the bulb holder on...

I presonally wouldn't bother with just a panel filter as you will see very little benefit. You would be best off getting rid of the standard restrictive airbox (engine cover) and fitting a full CAI such as ITG, Forge, BSH, or Dbilas to name a few. Price wise they range from £150-£400.

Im no forge Fan boy, but I would take that review with a pinch of salt. There is alt of shit that gets written on those forums.
It basicaly says the forge part has no increase in perfrmance.. which it isnt designed for... and the compressor surge talk is questionable really.
The forge valve was designed to replace the OEM DV which is prone to a splitting diapham on high boost ...
