Ah rite, i'm not sure then. I had a massive argument and ball ache with them almost 2 years ago when I bought mine for this very reason. If you search for direct line on the forum you will find my thread, as well as others which all state the same problem Least you got it sorted then What did they say about the lowering etc of yours, they weren't v happy about mine, but then lowered my premium £80 a year when I changed to mk3 alloys...

i want to get my cupra on a dyno soon as i pick it up just to see wat its got. its nearly standard except for the push button start.

140bhp????? Be honest I know the 8v's do pull higher than 115bhp stated in the book but never heard of 140bhp and the torque to match!
If you want to say I'm talking crap then keep to your current set up because you won't get anymore power than that without going for cam's, throttle bodies or forced induction!

check the pipes running into and out of the heater matrix. if flapper reads this he might be kind enough to put up a diagram for you showing what goes where and such like!

I also had an accident, involving a boulard and being silly haha
But no, polo headlights fit, bonnet is too wide and too short, wings are too short, bumper is too wide, grille might fit if you can find a Polo Classic. Try find a Seat cordoba mate, there pretty much the same front end as the beeza

Cant help you with the labour regarding the cat because I dont know how big a job or that it is.
The Mk3 Cupra System goes straight on. If you have the centre section aswell you will just need a reducer for that the cat-end. Everything else fits. Although the 2 rear mounts may need changed for ones turned 90 degrees.

Why do you think its the header tank? never heard of one leaking before, its more likely the head gasket or leaking from a pipe somewhere

Its possible that the coil is dead if its not firing, quite a common problem on the Mk2 Ibiza, but also worth checking the battery is ok and that the alternator is recharging it.

local budget exhaust center sorted mine, he welded most of the system for me, (leaaving a spot to still seperate it if need be). no problems since at all. only charged a fiver to do it, and fitted my remus back section into the deal. this involved fashioning a reducer also!!!!

Thanks for all the replies. I will go for one on ebay for £40 and it hopefully should fit. No big deal if it doesn't, and it's worth it to be able to wind the window down again. I know what you mean about the door panel - I've had it off a couple of times before and it's a bit damaged already. I'll have to be extra careful this time. Always something to fix on the Ibiza! Maybe I'll get it all ...
