You can do it but before but IMO once you get increased power you'll want to launch and test it out. Look at Bo, he had an uprated clutch on RS2 spec and it's gone already. I've been hearing good things about southbend clutches as an alternative to the sachs btw

Gearbox oil, what to use?
Published (2009-11-30 17:41:00)
That is the problem, very notchy gear changes until the box warms up. When i say cold its still between 0-10c outside, it hasn't got to the freezing temps yet. I have a gut feeling Redline is overkill, and maybe a bit of snake oil mixed in. Tempted to just buy the Audi stuff unless there is a proven replacement that works as well.

Hi Sau That happens everywhere. We price match everyone but Ebay as there is too much of a risk of the oil being a bit dodgy on there. Don't get me wrong, there are legit sellers, but there is a lot of illegal oil on Ebay. Cheers Tim

As I've said, I've only heard things, never seen it personally. There's also probability, that someone just sold lot of fake oil with this brand name glued to it (it happens sometimes here). Sau

noise in first gear
Published (2009-11-25 08:51:00)
its quite a low pitch noise, not a ticking, its a constant noise, sounds like the gear isnt quite meshing properly, similar to the noise you get from a straight cut gear.. i'll try an oil change when i get time.. any ideas on grade for the gearbox? thanks

Anyone who has changed the oil can you post up what you used and how it well it worked? Especially in regard to shifting when cold. I picked up a can of Fuchs oil from my local motor factors but i'm not happy with it. Just had a look on OpieOils and its the cheapest one listed, and only semi-synthetic which i didnt realise at the time http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-673-75w-90.aspx...

Hi. Mine does exactly the same. Try and change the oil on the gearbox. It might work. (I haven't got the time to do it on mine yet)
