From what I hear it is a truly awesome idea for a comedy (one that made me laugh more than the premise of The Big Lebowski) that doesn't end up living up to what it could have been. And I'm going to buy two tickets to it this week and hope that all of them are wrong or there is something personal there for me to like that
they don't understand.
Actually I've changed my mind. I'll check it out...

The movie looks fairly fitting to the book, which is why it probably won't make much money. In terms of narrative, the story is very subtle and isn't as in your face as most hollywood productions. It seems more along the lines of what I think of when I think of
Tom Hanks in Castaway.

9. I thought the original short was pretty damn effective, and beautifully animated to boot. I'm wondering what it's going to be like with a voice cast, given that the initial 9 was devoid of any dialogue.
The
Tree of Life. Because everything Terrence Malick touches seems to turn to gold.
Pinprick. This one will probably be a long wait. I've been following it since it started ...

WOW. I don't like
horror movies but damn, that looks GREAT. A nice set-up, a great story to it. The trailer itself is really pulling.

Some people, myself included wanted to see an
Alice in Wonderland horror film based on American Mcgee's Alice: the game. Instead Tim Burton is doing his own cgi fest that looks decidedly PG to PG-13.
Apparently a script has been written for the McGee's Alice version, but no one has picked it up or scheduled a release date. I do like the idea of Tarsem as a director. If only we could work ...

I just think it is great news that Darabont will be making it. I loved Shawshank and Green Mile. I think
the Long Walk was a great read and a film version with Darabont at the helm could be very good.

Honestly, this movie looks like it might have done a lot better if
PAranormal Activity hadn't beaten it out. However, with that being the case, it looks too derivative, even if the style as a whole is refreshing.
