QUOTE (FouLLine @ Dec 19 2009, 12:37 PM) The CHW position and market is very good. Jerry Reinsdorf (who also owns the Chicago Bulls) is a very rich man who has never been afraid to spend money. I personally am a big fan of Alex Rios and couldn't believe he got let go on waivers. The guy was 25 and tearing the bigs up until he got a staph infection. Since then he hasn't be all that bad but I will say you'd...

QUOTE (Luckynines @ Dec 14 2009, 10:38 PM) An injury-risk sleeper than 90% of the fantasy world has soured on is J.Zumaya. Right now he is the the favorite to land the closers job in DET. and get hurt one week into the season

Jose Reyes Offseason Outlook...
Published (2009-12-19 10:58:00)
From 2005 through 2008, Reyes played in a minimum of 153 games. He should start running at full speed after the new year. I for one have no worries about his health in 2010. He'll deliver 1st round value in 2010, as he did prior.

QUOTE (mcmastro @ Dec 19 2009, 12:59 PM) Does anybody know or can anybody guess, on how much the yankees will have to spend next year. Well, here is who is scheduled for FA after the 2010 season (with their salaries). This obviously doesn't include if they sign anybody else to a 1 year deal. Jeter-21 million N. Johnson-5.5 million Pettitte-11.75 million Rivera-15 million Total - $53.25 million They will probably...

The 2010 Full Minor League Yahoo...
Published (2009-12-19 14:35:00)
I know this is a big (read: HUGE) deal in our dynasty league and for many of the rest of you in dynasty leagues, Yahoo's lack of full minor league rosters is problematic in using them, despite (imho) superior interface and ease of use. So I had an idea...what if we petition Yahoo, much in the same way we do for eligibility of players, by submitting this idea directly to their product development team? Please click this link and offer...

QUOTE (RotoRaysfan @ Dec 19 2009, 07:41 AM) Looking from the outside, I have a hard time seeing someone else better the trading job that Williams did (Swish is a particularly bad one both times - it's really like he has some sort of blinders there, LOL). While he isn't perfect by any means, given the CHW position in the market in terms of resources given to him, he has to gamble a bit. I would like to see them...

QUOTE (TheJRod2006 @ Dec 16 2009, 10:25 AM) Isn't Garland a flyball pitcher? Wouldn't he get murdered in the new Yankee Stadium? Plus, Mitre is awful. Mitre isn't the greatest pitcher in the world, but he's a sufficient 5th starter. He can go out there and give you 5-6 innings and in some cases, he can shut the opponants down for those innings. He's done it before.

Carlos Gonzalez Offseason...
Published (2009-12-18 17:14:00)
I'd draft him for 20/20 potential, but hope for 25/25. Great keeper, but redrafts should maybe hold off of a little later. There's a lot of solid OF out there.

Someone of Value....well here's my two cents. It looks like you have at least 6 million or so to spend for sure. Well, how about this... Sign Coco Crisp and Rocco Baldelli. Both should be relatively cheap and can be had for, I would think, a million or so. Next, sign Matt Capps. He has said he has interest in the Cubs and he could be a backup plan to Marmol. AND, a big plus with Capps is...

Mets won't pony up the money for Holliday, Bay, or Lackey in my opinion. I don't think they go after Halladay either. Another mediocre season is in the cards. Heard they plan on playing Murphy at 1B and are trying to get a LF bat. But that is going to cost them and I highly doubt they spend much money again this offseason. I can see them going after Bengie Molina at C, then signing a...

QUOTE (jd040 @ Nov 6 2009, 06:35 AM) Slightly off topic, but there is absolutely no way in hell Andy Pettitte goes in the HOF. Even if he was never listed in the Mitchell Report. The guy was absolutely a borderline starter with nothing else but 3 high quality seasons in his entire career and the opportunity to pitch multiple playoff games for one of the best sports teams in history...

QUOTE (Skoodog @ Dec 18 2009, 06:19 PM) Surprising news on Cliff Lee front this morning that he would have liked to stay w/ Philly over more money. I'm not sure if this is playing politics, Amaro screwing up, or his agent played the hard-ass and now Lee ends up in a place where he doesn't seem to want to be, but it doesn't bode well for the chemistry of the usually tight-lipped Lee....

.What about Uggla ? Sounds like talks are starting to heat up. He would fit their need for a bat in the middle of that lineup to compliment Kung Fu Panda.

QUOTE (2ndCitySox @ Dec 17 2009, 02:41 PM) For me, I think it's the M's getting Cliff Lee. I'm glad to see a under the radar team make some moves to get into the post season. Here's hoping they have the cash to sign Bay. They need a friggin bat. I actually love the Lee and Figgins deals as an M's fan. It brings some excitement back to this city, something we have really been ...

QUOTE (FouLLine @ Dec 17 2009, 09:15 PM) Atkins receives a one-year deal that pays him $4 million next season and includes an option for 2011. The deals are pending a physical. Atkins for a turn around in 2010?.... I'm thinking he could be a really big sleeper. Why? Because he switched teams? I would rather him be hitting at Coors....

One more thing i see alot of you guys are talking about keeping him in shallow keeper leagues and I am right there along with you on that same boat. I'm in a 3bat-1sp keeper league and depending on how he performs from here on out, he might just make me keep him for the simple fact that people in my league now know who he is and i might not get him back in the draft depending on how the ...
