I don't know there are how many IR sensors have in front of the robot but let's say there are 4 sensor. above the IR sensor window, there can be 4 switch in front of the robot's bumper. Switches can be very soft and activate each electromagnets...

My netbook has the atom processor. Powerful enough for the netbook and it's very easy on the battery. I get about 6-7 hours on my battery. Granted, it's only clocked @ 1.6Ghz, but with a dual core!!

Samsung Tango, Trilobite - two...
Published (2009-12-23 11:16:00)
Hi Piokrza, my personal opinion is that the older versions of Samsung don't have such good sensors like Trilobite ... please, can someone, who has the "non bumping" version of Samsung, try a similar thing like I tried with Trilobite? It's easy not to bump to walls ... much harder not to bump to something small and fragile like the glasses. As for Trilobite itself, it is a real vacuum cleaner and that's what it...

Neato XV11 Robot Vacuum Cleaner
Published (2009-12-24 12:50:00)
always good to see some competition, forces everyone to get better! iRobot must have something under dev to compete with this. I hope it comse out around the same time so we can see some comparisions... I think i'm going to wait until this AND a new roomba come out, see who the winner is, then upgrade. Anyone heard any new info on roombas/scoobas coming out? Where is the best place to check for that sort of stuff?

Neato XV11 Robot Vacuum Cleaner

Another interesting article: http://spectrum.ieee.org/automaton/robo ... pectrum%29 It looks like the brainpower leading Neato might rival Irobot itself. This article mentions that their leadership team came from Agilent technologies, Willow Garage, and the Stanford AI lab. Irobot has got to be scared, or preparing a patent infringement suit, or both.

I know this thread is old but I thought I would reply anyways. The cleaning robot Bartgielien owns is the TCM Reinigungsroboter. cleanmateroomba has a thread discussing this robot at: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=12216&p=70408 . If you need help, reply to that thread. , SharpereVac

Neato XV11 Robot Vacuum Cleaner

Too bad for the edge cleaning too, no side brush, we see on videos that there is 2-3 cm that is not done on the robot side (the video with the flour). So what about a shape to do corners if it's impossible to do them ?

Jaroslav, thanks a lot for video It's great to know how Samsung VC-RA84V really work. It's bad that it hasn't have not-touching sensors like "older" models...I hope that the next models from Samsung will be more intelligent and will have ultra sound sensors. Trilobite is great, but it hasn't have side brush and main "brush" is not really a brush, but is made of silicone or something (I don't ...

"Taiwan’s ASUS is planning to release an automated robotic vacuum cleaner, similar to the famous Roomba from iRobot . The ASUS ECleaner will first be offered in China and Taiwan. While the ECleaner appears very similar to the Roomba, it has a few key features that make it stand ahead of the Roomba. The ECleaner will work like the Roomba, by using a mathematical algorithm and a ’surveying’ phase...

"How it Works How do you set up your Neato? First we recommend that you plug in your charging base and place your vacuum on the charging base to do its initial charge. Aside from that, there is no complex set up. Once the status light turns green on the vacuum, just press the START button and your Neato XV-11 will begin mapping and analyzing the room and start cleaning. How do I start my Neato ...

Jaroslav wrote: Hi, I have a new Samsung Tango robot. It is nice, but has several issues. One of the most annoying is that it doesn't like my kitchen chairs. It moves them a lot (no other robot ever did) and gets stuck under them for a long time. What do you think about this: Could there be some automated mechanism which would put the chairs up when the robot starts cleaning????? Any idea?...
