It opens/closes a door in the HVAC vent that allows conditioned air to circulate around the cup holder, heating or cooling your tasty beverage. Kevro

It's all a matter of your expectations. Much more expensive than a Honda. Not too bad if you can do a lot of work yourself: Parts are available at decent prices from aftermarket sources, and with rear wheel drive, they are generally easier to work on than FWD or AWD. If you intend to rely on a dealer for every service the car needs, then yes; it will be expensive. It has many electronic ...

What year and milage. I own a 2003 525iT premium without lumbar and thought the rear of bottom cushion was sagging too much. My car had about 70k and lower back was suffering after an hour or so driving. To my great surprise a 2009 5 series loaner had the same cushion issue. Recently I have read several reviews that mention BMW seats are hard to adjust due to bottom and back moving ...

If you plan ahead and save for a rainy day. Or you are fantastically unlucky? I've been reading these BMW boards for five years and the collective experience is that the vast majority of owners do not ever suffer from the massive repair bill you fear. There is quality built into these cars for the most part. Oops! Do you have an automatic transmission?

on the e46 board. My interpretation is if you absolutely can't resist doing something to your car, and don't mind taking a risk mucking up your expensive MAF sensor, indulge. But I'd call you on a claim that you'll ever feel the difference of a couple of HP if you got that. What are you trying to accomplish? Same basic comments apply to underdrive pulleys migrating over from the e46 board ...

opens a discussion that could fill volumes. Quick answer: dealer will try to take his normal discount off the table by distracting you with the incentive. Sleight of hand to try to avoid giving you both discounts.
