My co-worker rode a 155 mm Romin (not yet in production... he rode it at Specialized's HQ) and loved it. We have sold some, but have no feedback from customers yet.

I have been out for 2 rides on my SL3, and while I think its completely awesome, I can't compare it to anything other than my scandium Merckx from 2004. I am a bigger guy > 240 and all i know is that it rides like a dream. But I do know that I am glad I went with a module over just a frameset. I am loving how stiff the Specialized cranks are over my SRAM red ones. The only other carbon bike I have ever rode was a Kestrel 200SC from way...

Been lurkin here for some time but haven't really posted. I find that I get a long better with people on bike forums if I stck to the photo threads only. I let my photos do the talking. Warning! You may spot these photos more than once on this site or around the interweb. This is my latest experiement that went right. I'm loving this bike in this configuration. Need to replace the 18 t freewheel with a 20. This is also my way of...

specialized bg saddles

My new Roubaix has the Toupe gel which after one ride (got the bike on Wednesday) I think is very comfortable. Obviously a few more rides will be a better test of it. I have a Phenom gel on my Stumpjumper FSR and I think that is an awesome saddle. Both are 143 which is the correct size for me and that made a big difference over the 130 which I had on my Stumpjumper initially.

I have an '08... never bothered weighing the frame. The complete bike is 15.5 lbs. Specialized reports the the frame, fork, S-Works crankset and bottom bracket for the '07 to be 1915 g. I seem to recall the frame only being about 1150 g.

I've got both, the Roubaix SL2 and the Tarmac SL2. Both bikes are suitably stiff in the drive train. You're not likely going to flex either. They both climb extremely well. While the Tarmac has perceptibly slightly more "snap", I find that true acceleration is pretty much equal - at least in my opinion. The Tarmac does have a slightly more agile balance during out of the saddle ...
