Meh, the French and English have been irrelevant for over a century at least. And I'm not too sure that the Germans, Spanish, Italians and others haven't been since the end of the Cold War.

While I tend to stay away from those rags, I will say in defense of Newsweek about the Palin cover; it was a picture that wasn't doctored, just a pose for an article in a fitness magazine, that's all. That the photographer broke his contract by selling it to Newsweek, puts him in hot water, is what I find interesting.
