QUOTE (BlondInfidel @ Nov 25 2009, 02:29 PM) My brother never used to do that for me. (IMG: http://www.rightnation.us/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad2.gif ) I still hate going into fabric stores ......... My grandma tried to teach me the whole knitting, crocheting, sewing thing but I was a dismal failure. I'm the only one that got a C in Home Ec with the EASIEST teacher there was in the world. My grandma actually...

QUOTE (Stitch Jones @ Nov 25 2009, 05:25 PM) It is one thing to disagree with her decisions, but to be critical of her based solely on her looks is exceptionally petty. Are we in junior high? No, we're just sick of this: (IMG: http://www.todaysdrum.com/wp-content/upload/michelle-obama-magazine-covers.jpg ) when this is the reality - classless, clueless and fugly: (IMG:...

QUOTE (random_stuff @ Nov 25 2009, 11:07 AM) That's where the decision lies, IMO. Yes, their property is being affected, but is it a Constitutional violation? As I read it, it isn't. Are the owners losing value if public land is created between them and the ocean? Yes and no, but again, I don't think it meets the Constitutional definition. The question I am wondering about is how their property will be valued...

QUOTE (Gertie Keddle @ Nov 23 2009, 01:53 PM) You're being sarcastic, but how is that different from having to compare every feature of every table saw in Home Depot AND Lowes AND Sears before making a purchase? Me, I try to narrow things down online but him, he's gotta go see it all in person. Don't even get me started on the day he bought his most recent drill. It is an adventure like this that finally made...

QUOTE (evil monkey @ Nov 25 2009, 12:12 PM) The question I am wondering about is how their property will be valued and taxed once their property becomes landlocked. Will they be compensated for any loss in value since the government is taking deliberate actions to devalue their property? This is where the issue muddies. Since they only own up to the "mean high water mark" to begin with, are they really...

QUOTE (Stitch Jones @ Nov 25 2009, 09:16 AM) Is it really in the best interest of their public relations for the first lady to be buying two pairs of custom boots that sell for "hundreds of pounds" each? Over 10% unemployment and climbing, 522 banks of the FDIC's "troubled" list, the dollar is tanking and housing foreclosures are still on the rise, at least she could have bought US...

QUOTE (oki @ Nov 23 2009, 04:14 PM) Let's think about this, from a guys perspective. How many ladies wouldn't feel like they wasted a day if they spent hours and hours at a Home Improvement Store being asked which wrench will fix the car better? I love spending time at home improvement stores. Lowe's and Home Depot are two of my favorite destinations. The mall and clothes ...

My M-I-L has a beach house at St. Augustine and the beach has actually increased in size due to the erosion of the beaches a few miles north of her place. The beach is all public and it is really wonderful to watch everyone having fun. I wonder what that couples reaction would be if "their" beach was getting eroded. I would bet that they would expect the state to repair it....

QUOTE (OOtar @ Nov 12 2009, 06:48 AM) November 12, 2009 What's Wrong With Socialism? By Joe Herring American Thinker [Excerpted] I recall a conversation I had with a young coworker in the latter weeks of Obama's campaign for president. I like to count my blessings. (IMG: http://www.rightnation.us/forums/style_emoticons/d efault/smile.gif ) The first sip of coffee in the morning. The way my husband's neck smells. His green eyes. Crisp apples. The endless curiosity, sweet spirits, and joy that my children posess. The fact that they are still young enough that they like me and still want to hug me or hold my hand. Piles ...
