I don't ride rigid, but, I can say that you need to use your knees to absorb the impact. When you hit, let your butt drop and your knees come up, it will help somewhat.

definitely get a 20mm fork and a frame for $1k. shouldnt be too tough to find a nice combo. argyle/riot or something along those lines.

i was looking and couldn't find any either.
I guess stick with 3-3.5" new school DJ bars (NSBikes, etc) or phone Solid about custom ones. Maybe S&M will do custom bars even. Or get S&M 5" cruisers and run a drop stem if you like the S&M bends.

ratchets are only 9 and 10t at the moment. 10t are on sale for $99.
profile minis? take a look at madera. same internals as profile (made by profile) but less machining on the shells to hit a lower price point. tons of options with profile/madera hubs. 14mm hollow cromo/ti, 3 pc female axle, 1 pc drivers (up to 11t) cogs 12T and up, optional ti bits etc.

28-13 was hard?? , i used to run that but was just too spinnish now on 30-13 which is a bit taller of a gear and its pretty much perfect for trails and parks. for commuting tho your gonna spin out all those ratios anyway. just stick with your current 28-13 if you think thats a hard gear... get used to it

The typical skatepark quaterpipe radius is 7-9 feet. Because this park is intended for mountain bikes, the lips should probably fall on the mellower end of that range. Say 8-9 feet.
A good rule of thumb for a pretty poppy jump: make the ramp height between 60% and 75% of the radius. So for a 6' tall lip, you'll want between an 8 and 10 foot radius.
