QUOTE(petegangies @ Dec 24 2009, 07:53 PM) look under ur bonnet and just double check that 1.1mm spark gap...sometimes its 0.8 Checked that already when I gapped em.. the range is 1-1.1mm I just need to log my ECU somehow, and see what sensors causing the ecu to slowly remove timing Even logging it may not work It almost seems like the knock sensors picking up my piston slap, and thinking its knock. Lol I dunno, im running...

Why Is Ecu Pulling My Timing?
Published (2009-12-23 10:57:00)
The exhaust increases air flow, , but it is very rich top end for an NA engine, 12.8:1 is the sweet spot. I know my 2.5NA goes best on 95 ron caltex. power drop is not much, could be the extractor lengths, could be lots of things!

QUOTE(wearne @ Dec 24 2009, 12:34 PM) Nah, never did it before the conversion I am running the STi front and rear end, ie shafts and all the sti tail shaft doesn't work / fit properly on the forry due tot the shape difference. It was making clunking noises hence it was changed out to an auto tail shaft, since then that clunking noise is gone strange,i used a V7 sti tail shaft for Tommo's XT with both boxes and inc...

Another Cel Problem

QUOTE(Quen10 @ Dec 24 2009, 03:48 PM) Ok we are getting somewhere... was the car tuned when the CAI was installed ?? if not ... then would be adviseable to get it done. i reckon this is the root of all your problems... cai is letting more air in & the ECU is having a fit thinking whats going on .. starts to compensate for the more air and starts to adjust and the car runs badly. you need a tune but also understand...

I've gone with a TCP exhaust for a few reasons, will be picking it up next week. Tony was a lot more helpful when it came to organising a purchase through Pulse Racing whereas TXS seemed to give me more of a 'politicians' response on pricing through the same vendor. The guys at Pulse spoke directly with Tony and the entire process was done within minutes, so straight away that was a big tick ...

also on the forry there are issues lining up the tail shaft with the box and center bearing height, might need to space the center bearing lower to try and get it in a straight line front to back.

QUOTE(msgofast @ Dec 24 2009, 05:31 AM) It will be good for 190, but so is a VF34, and will come on sooner, so with a wider power band 34 is still my pick with P20. a vf34 is $1500+. I got my turbo brand new for $800. easy decision there
