Wideband definitely needs a good ground...usually to the motor. I've had problems with grounding to the cabin/chassis before with widebands.

Just to catch up a bit (been traveling) - the 60-2 tooth gear that I have is custom laser cut to fit on the 944 crank and also to fit inside the belt covers. it uses the four mounting bolts for the AC/Alt pulley and is precison cut to fit the lip - zero runout!!

I went in a guy's R32 that had been supercharged. It was so linear that it felt slow and underpowered. I think they could be made pretty fast with a turbo, but I also thought the motor sounded really weedy and I think he had some sort of sports exhaust too.

As far as I know, the ones I just replaced on my 951 were the originality ones... they had almost totaly disintegrated, and my car has 206K on the clock! IMHO, it is far easier to change them than to be stuck when they fail... maybe change them at the same time as the T-belt and Water pump...

I think those wooden risers are a "natural selection." The big issue with the risers in the OP is the question of how well they are put together in each instance, how well they will withstand the test of time, and what will the fasteners and/or glue do wehn subjected to all different types of loads (other than vertical). I think if you're going to do something like this, the cinder blocks look a lot safer (and weather...

I purchased the LR short shift kit. Installed it on car, drove around the block and immediately sold it on Ebay. Piece of crap, 100%. Have heard great things about the Schnell kit though.

Regarding the short shift kits, I can only speak of the ones I used. I had a Kokeln and didn't like it. The one I had, and loved was a Weltmeister. See the link below. Also, the link to one that Paragon sells, not sure who makes it though. http://www.automotion.com/product.as...dept%5Fid=5 097 http://www.paragon-products.com/Shor...t_p/944ssk. htm

The engine needs to be warmed up for an effective leak down test. You could put a bit of oil in the cylinders if youre wanting to leakdown test the cylinder head... That should help.

I think that is a brilliant solution the way they are constructed they could be stood on the end and used as shelves . i would go for 4 boxes that can clip together to form what there is there but go on top of each other to hold the car on its belly wheels hanging ... i would consider good pallets and good timber shipping boxes for material as well . I think its a great idea as you will ...

Mega Squirt DIY KIT http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/d...8ff30202e5e 909 I keep an eye on the Mega Squirt site because I need one for my Turbo Tercel project, they make a kit for the Tercel that is a plug and play now. And they also make one for the 944's they don't list the 951 specifically but this kit has the 55 pin ...

Have heard of folks installing a MAP sensor to the intake manifold and running an electric gauge to the cockpit, but from what I understand the readings were essentially the same.

Update? I filled out a form on theTtilton web sight. (They advise cylinder bore) Waiting for an answer. What Master Cylinders did you go with? How do they feel? Clutch MC? Tilton was able to answer that by saying a 1:1. But he was a desk tech for the phone.. not sure about that. So whats the slave cylinder bore of our cars?

What chips are you running, what MAF etc... I have an updated Scivision MAF, and am using MaxTune to custom tune, and have a little blip on throttle lift, but nothing below 11:1 or so... Wash is definitely a concern, but not sure how rich your setup is going...
