WOW, thanks guys! Appreciated. (putting on my best Higgins voice from Magnum PI ) The whole website got its start back in '99 i think. I bought my first car sight unseen on Ebay (its the car i called Hanz on the website) I was in Ireland at the time, down stairs at a Bed and Breakfast watching the "Telly" as they call it, surfing Ebay. I saw the car I always wanted, a silver 1987, 928S4. In a moment if impulse , which...

ok will do. I'm out of time tonight but will give it a shot tomorrow. Tonight I swaped out the final fan controller and no change. The driver side fan still not working. __________________ Imre 1985 928S, 5-Speed, DIY Supercharged http://norcal928.org/DIYSC/index.htm "If you are not first, you are last!"..............Ricky Bobby's father

Injector hoses
Published (2009-11-24 05:34:00)
I don't know how those metal collars were put on originally, but I can say for sure they are difficult to remove intact. The fitting the hose goes over on each end is barbed. Doing anything tricky, you might want to mount and crimp all the injectors to the rail off the motor, then install all the injectors at the same time into the intake holes. Good luck, take pictures.

Did you jump the AFC as suggested? Also, the green wire can mess-up the fuel pump. It can cause the L Jetronic to believe the tach rpm is >6300 and prevent the relay from operating. Patience. You will win. It will be worth it. __________________ 83 944 2x84,5,6 928s

doesnt the transmission just come off the rear of the torque tube with the 4 bolts that you can reach? also the coupler allen and you slide the transmission back and it drops down after the axles are unbolted, right? I cant remember how it all comes down, but I thougth the torque tube could be kept in place. My 84 would start and run only when I had the key in the START position, and die when I released the key. I had just replaced my starter because of sqealing noises it seemed to be making. Of course I blamed something I broke or goofed up. It turned out that it was the new starter itself. The starter has two switches inside it: one to engage the starter/solenoid and the other to ...

both fans should get power i would look for a broken connector end near where the wire plugs into the fan then if you disconnect the plug from the DS front of the radiator and turn on the key the fans will run at full speed and you can troubleshoot the wire for power loss, also check the fuses are not burning in the holders in the ...

Norcal Lemons survives 1st track day!! Well the 1984 Norcal Lemons 928 survived its 1st trackday....yes there was a few issues with "leaks"....but other than that it performed quite nicely....after I recruited a hotshoe to do some testing....we managed a "Lemons Record" 2:14.07 over the top at Thunderhill....in an 84 automatic ...

OUCH!!! That is not good, but it could have been much worse! I put a battery in my '80 Triumph Spitfire that was supposed to work and when I lowered the bonnet that was the end of that! COMPLETELY burned up the - ground wire! CRAZY STUFF! Scared the carp out of me but didn't hurt the car... Looks like you got away clean too!

I am wondering the same thing, we should have some type of thread so all the like minded can talk. I would add Nos to the mix and also delineate what type of S/C and what stage. Also what type of Turbo, Single, Twin or Rear Mounted. In fact how about chips and x-pipes, did I miss anything?
