You just cant stand the fact that the coot is a much better duck caller than you, I have heard him call from over a mile away, his 7 note highballs and buzz-clucks are the best I have ever heard from that distance

Still early, less you like chasing locals. Since ElNino it hasn't been much to talk about until Christmas week then peeks around MLK day. Cancel the Sept. goose & open goose season on Dec.15 & give us 5 a day.

True, true an all accounts so far. More ducks using the eastern half of the Mississippi flyway was what I was getting at. I am afriad to head to Ill, MO, or Arkieland to see what we are missing here. I already spend plenty to hunt here and don't need to add the additional liscense and diesel burden to hunt elsewhere.

I'll be out in the morning. I saw the first few (small) groups of geese migrating. The shorts are still few and far between. We scratched down a pair of blacks this morning and missed out on a couple mallards by not being ready. I am headed to the killin hole in the morning. No sports, just hardcores. Were going back the the way we used to do it! Me, the Chief and George.

It's obvious you were hiding under the water and catching them, because there is no way your duck calling actually brought them in.

Yea right. The only way we are going to kill more ducks in Kentucky is if they either 1)add more days to the early wood duck/teal season or 2)raise the limit during the early wood duck and teal season. If you want kill ducks in the future, you better plan a trip to Canada.

Why don't you post a picture of the pile? I think you summed it up best about the company part. I definately would have had more fun if 1 person in particular (you) would not have shown up. I am glad you did though. I was glad to see once again you were put in your place by the Chief at 2N. I think he summed it up best by saying you should really just leave your duck calls at ...
