For your M.Sc., it may be a bigger difference, since the quality of researchers and supervisors at a school like UofT is much better. But at the B.Sc level, it's all the same thing at pretty much any reputable school....

I don't feel I have a better understanding of economics because of I took it with him.
I found his lectures just as boring as other profs, except you couldn't skip his because the exams were based on his version of ...

lolz, it is difficult to get a CA in the first place and business may SEEM easier but there is ALOT of subjectivity. Unlike medicine, which is well documented and is memorized, business is more of an art and you get paid for your individuality not conformity. Not downplaying what doctors do in any way what so ever.

Tell them about yourself, goals/ambitions and not how much 'you need' the money (everyone 'needs' money) but how it will help you a lot towards the pursuit of aforementioned goals/ambitions. Use different 'thanking' words like 'I appreciate', 'I am grateful', etc. ...

Wow. You are being uber-cheap. If I was you, I would cancel the cheques and thank god it costs $12.50 to cancel the cheques. I would reduce face-to-face time with this guy as much as possible. I wouldn't want to go ask for my cheques back and then have this guy snap in front of my eyes and use me as his next punching bag.
Run. Run fast. Cut your losses and chalk it up to a lesson ...
